If bass maybe can consider JVC carbon nanotube series, Sony XB series or the not recommended Monster Beats series. tongue.gif

If you are living around in Subang or Penang can always go to Jaben to try before buy.

I advice you to spare some money for DAC and amp because it will improve your headphone biggrin.gif

I tried the xb series, but the mids and highs are terrible in the xb series..do you know where to get jvc carbon nanotube series?

Hi I'm looking for IEM focused on acoustic, j-pop song
Preferable, tight/impactfull(?) bass, and warmth sounding
. Will be using it with Sansa Clip+ .....If possible, the cable is short at 1 for L and long for R (dunno how to call it) ...so that it dont easily drop and comfy for small ear holes/lobes.

Price Range : rm200-350

looking for a headphone for my father.

he uses samsung galaxy s3 and laptop sometimes but mostly his sgs3.

budjet 700-1000.

senheiser or audio technica.

btw, are those big headphones suitable?
sgs3 got enough power to drive the headphones?

headphone amp is too much hassle for him. just a proper headphones will do. any recommendation according to the budjet?

i want a perfect headphone for him. thanx!

Your rig (mp3 players, amps, sound card etc) Laptop
What type of usage (movies/ gaming/ music etc) Music listening only
File format used in your source (i.e. flac, mp3 etc) MP3
Genre of music you listen to (classical, jazz, metal, etc) Primary Rock and Chillout music. I don't care for Rap/RnB/Indie crap.
Headphone/ earphone type (closed, open, circumaural, IEM etc) Headphone. Preferably full-sized.
Other requirements (if any) (mic, volume control, 5.1ch, 7.1ch etc) I like clean clear sounds. Some bass should be present, though more is always better. If it is of any help, I do like DT770Pro.

I have a total budget of RM500. That includes an amp or DAC+amp combo if it calls for it. If I can find a headphone that works well unamped through a laptop, it'll get the full dough.

Currently looking at Superlux HD688B/HDHD681 and Fiio E10.

blink.gif that's a very good question, I have never thought of that, lol.

Let's say both with and without mic, what choices do I have in both categories ? If it's not too much trouble. smile.gif
