- Your rig = PC and phone (Google Nexus)
- What type of usage = Movies, Gaming, Music
- File format used = mp3, FLAC
- Genre of music = All
- Headphone = Circumaural, Closed-back
- Other requirements = I've had Superlux HD661 and it was an awesome phone but it lacks some bass. If you can, recommend me somewhat similar but with more bass. I'm no bass head and I would appreciate if you can find one.

Budget 100-250

ur reason to purchase on-ear is same as mine, having on-ear is so much more convenient. i agree with e1-akg, only k450+ha450 fits your needs and your phone. you will like k450, the bass is tight for your kind of music as i listen to trance as well.
if you dont need audiophile quality headphone, i recommend you to buy asus vulcan anc. i owned one before so i can tell you its active noice cancelling really works. i sit in front of the tv with mid volume, before i turned it on i can still hear the sound but after turn on, i cant hear anything even though im not playing any sound from my pc. it is also a great gaming headphone with precise positioning, i played bf3 with it so i know. watching movie and music of course cannot compare to audiophile headphones, but it still has decent amount of bass and good clarity on mid and high. of course, it also has a mic and it is very clear. i bought it at rm370 at c-zone, 2nd floor, lowyat plaza.

Hi, thank you for your input. I've just came back from Jaben testing the best portable on-ear headphones I could afford: the ATH-ES-55, k450, and the ATH-ES7. I was really disappointed with the sound of k450 actually. Can't really explain why, I'm not very good with the sound description terms (Sorry~). I actually liked both the Audio Technica's models. So now, I'm juggling between the two now. Hope you find this info useful and get what you are looking for. Best of luck!

i know why you like you like es7, it is the vocal, isn't it? but for me it is not natural and tuned but it was certainly very amazing especially listening to female voice. well every ear is different. best of luck choosing the headphone that suits you smile.gif

- My Rig: Laptop, Smartphone (android), Walkman

- Type of usage: 80% music, 10% movies, 10% gaming. Mostly on the go and carried everywhere.

- File format used in your source: mp3 264kbps ~ 320kbps

- Genre of music you listen to: Full range, but mostly J-pop techno, pop and occasional screamo/digital hardcore

- Headphone/ earphone type: IEMs or Earbuds

- Other requirements: Mic for handsfree, decent isolation, Clear sound** (A must), decent Bass, somewhat sturdy and not easily damaged and can withstand rough treatment (Coiling around player, shoving into pockets, dropping or hooking on to stuff and detaching from the player suddenly, that sort of stuff), Unsure whether wanting dynamic driver or balanced armature (question below)

- Budget: RM300(now) ~Rm500(maybe after a month)

*Quick question, Dynamic Driver or Balanced Armature works better for more upbeat techno and digital hardcore? such as these:
