Hello guys sorry to bother u guys again, as i did my reseach AGAIN, and this would also be my last research b4 i do my purchase... but certainly i would go to test the headphones out.

I've been doing researches about headphones the whole week! about 6 hours a week or more than that!! so basically, I DO NOT WANT an amp with me while i use the headphones, as i find the amp a little bit trouble some and its like there's alot of 'electrostatic' around u which i dont like that nor do my parents. so i found that the M50 are SUPERB w/o amps.

i also've been doing my research about the Sennheisers. the compliment by the users was so much that it overtake the cons of the sennheisers cans.. so i end up considering these:
1) http://www.jaben.com.hk/ProductView.asp?ID=431&SortID=245
2) http://www.jaben.com.hk/ProductView.asp?ID=338&SortID=245
3) http://www.jaben.com.hk/ProductView.asp?ID=432&SortID=245

I basically listen to almost every music genre.. sometimes im in the mood i would go for K-POP, sometimes rock, sometimes a new catchy-pop song made its debut and i would probably listen to it.. techno probably only Skrillex.... and sometimes i'd also listen to John Mayer/Joseph Vincent ( yes he;s youtube star) But the problem with ME is that when i buy headphones and the headphones do not provide bass ( like the ATH700) i would feel the headphones are a waste.. lol its just me i guess.. BUT i would'nt also want the headphones to be OVERPOWERED by bass.. i sometimes listen to John Mayer ( country) so i would want Clarity, so i could hear him sing as if im in front of him.. ya know what i mean..

but the Americans that bought M50 between 100~130$ = RM390 MAX said that its worth to get the M50 cuz of the PRICE. but u see in Malaysia/HK its a diff story( my fren is going to HK so he could probably get the M50 for about RM494-500), its probably alot more expensive. so if the M50 were to be Rm500 for the americans i bet they would'nt get those cans.. so yea im having quite a hard time now

anyways besides  those i've also considered the DT 770 pro from Beyerdynamics. as i've mentioned I WOULDNT be using an AMP. so will the 770 sound better than M50/ all of the sennheisers i've mentioned above?. its pricey tho i can get it for RM730 ( DAYUMM sad.gif ) so yea..

and at last, how about these SONY headphones?
1)http://www.jaben.com.hk/ProductView.asp?ID=287&SortID=183
2) http://www.jaben.com.hk/ProductView.asp?ID=286&SortID=183
i doubt most of u guys wouldn't recommend me these Sony tho.
so yea, now currently in a Dilemma in picking WHICH sennheisers/M50/770 Pro WITHOUT AN AMP.. so yea i apologise for the long post. Have a great day
*
beyer dt770pro is good. Just bought it yesterday. Personally feel it's better than m50. You can go for 32ohm limited edition or 80 ohms if you dont want an amp , though an amp will be preferable to get the maximum potential of 80 ohms'

Impulsively bought Allessandro MS1i... lol.. i tought its quite cheap, so i just bought for a try..

but the sound is very rockable. i like.. mids are very approaching, decent amount of bass, and good pick up on highs.. i think the sound sig is just suitable for rock and acoustic music... but i yet to try higher end headphone, will they be significantly/ hugely better than this? such as Beyer DT880? very interested to mod this headphone, especially change to pad and recable, i want it to be one side detachable. does anybody knows who can do recable for MS1i?

But Beyer DT880 really tempts me at the moment

Can you give more description on the SQ of ms1i? im interested in one

at that price, i think the SQ is worth every penny. and i think burn in is quite necessary for this headphone, after i left it played with my ipod for about 12 hours direct at 50-60% volume, i sense the sound is more yummy. laugh.gif

this is definitely not for basshead. the bass are adequate and enjoyable, no it will not shake your eardrum tho (i wouldn't want that, bad for your ear.. lol). the main strength is the mids and clarity. also good pick up on treble/highs. warm sound. when play rock song, it sound very rock. biggrin.gif  on acoustic song, guitars sound very nice and detail. i drive this using Govibe Martini+.

sorry i'm not good in describing sound, but if your genre is rock and alternative, this might be right for you. hope this help.
