I've been facing this reverse camera malfunction since the 1 week ago I got my new car.
The video image doesn't appear in the rear mirror sometimes and green light blinking in the rear mirror.
But sometimes it does appear and it seems to me like there's problem with the connection between the rear mirror and the camera.

Explained to the service center several times included my 1st 1000km service time the service consultant keep on insisting that this problem occurs to almost 80% of forte owners facing same problem and Kia has no idea what and how to solve this problem. They insist this issue is not cause by connection and they didn't even help me to take a look and check double confirm the problem.
The service consultant told me that currently they do not have replacement parts for reverse camera and require to order. They also said that they do not know when will the reverse camera come in and some of the customers waited for 6 months.

The problem continues and really frustrated in such small issue which should able to settle and confirm within an hour has drag till like without a dateline. And I don't feel that the service center even try to take a look and do a double confirmation on the issue.

1) anyone facing same reverse camera like me?

2) any good advice of whih service center will take customer's complain and property more seriously?

3) other than Kia service center any advice of where to fix and check my problem? Any shop to introduce??

Appreciate for some help here:)

I have the same problem, I fixed it in AZWorld Serdang, loose connector problem. Then, it came back. I have no idea if they can fix it once and for all, but the next service I'll ask them to fix it. Current solution for me, I'm sure you want to know this, is open the boot, and at the left hand side, there's a black cable. I just push it upwards, a bit, and lo and behold, the camera is back.

I wonder if anyone want to swap my forte ex 16" rims (4k mileage with only 5-10% tyre usage) for your 17" rims (sx rims) and tell me the conditions.

My rims condition totally 100% without scratch. If interested pls pm me or sms/whatsapp (0126403835).

tq

thanks for the advice...i'm pretty sure that our problem is only due to the bad connection.
Really don't understand why Naza Kia doesn't want to solve such small issue immediately so that to reduce all these customer's complains....

Yes, Its the Most important as its the only contact u have between the driver and the road. You have super awesome suspension system also no use.

hello guys, i recently noticed tht there was something amiss about my forte, when my car was stationary. i could hear a hissing noise coming from the undercarriage near the rear wheels. it sounded like air pressure being released in short bursts and would continue indefinitely. does anyone have any idea what this may be or how i may go about approaching it? my car is only 7 months old, tq
