The govt departments decides whether or not to cancel the project, not that third party company (two companies, actually). In fact, technically these companies have no say in this other than using money to influence the decision-makers.

If someone higher up boh suang those suppliers (maybe he didnt get enough candy), he just have to KIV it and the suppliers will hailat.

most of the time yes, but not always. sometimes these companies just offer some irresistable in return to get the job.

Even if it is a crony-run company, the company is still subjected to the whim of the person in charge. There are other cronies competing for the same contract.

oh wai I not surprise.

Did you know last time the speed trap in traffic light got flash type? those pulis can't process the picture. It also process by 3rd party and later send to pulis traffic for summons. Yeah, each pictar cost about RM 100+ excluding installation , repair and so on.

Sooner this AES for pulis say cutting cost or too many summons for citizen until they can't handle. They will start from another new tech. And also if this AES so efficient and accurate, the pulis less 'duit raya' liao cause cannot using block in the middle highway and say they capture your speed.

Top management of traffic trying to change but even their own staff resist to make new changes due to no benefit to them.  laugh.gif

Facts in oversea usually can't use in malaysia because we always 'you tolong saya, saya tolong you'

From what I heard, police have the right to catch speedster using their own speed camera. AES camera is not under police jurisdiction. And since AES will not be implemented on Hari Raya, that doesn't stop the police from mounting their roadblock or perform "Ops Sikap".

Police will probably catch speedster where there is no AES camera installed. I have to admit that there are very good at hiding.

For more than 1000 AES, only crony would go for it.
And if other crony competing and get the tender, the result still the same.

i thought the police head told last time no more hiding behind bushes etc etc? and that they will be visible during speed trap? what happen with that?

on AES, i laud the initiative. so if u are not speeding what the fuss? and nobody likes speed cameras no matter where they live here or outside countries. so the angst is understandable.

i would love it they revamp the whole system about speed camera. get the laws right, then put the cameras on. publish the exact locations and make the speed trap location actual legal speed limit visible 2 kilometres from cameras. and the tickets are made challengeable in court. the party lost court proceeding, cover overall legal costs.

during my time in power, i will do all these plus i will publish all earnings from speed tickets. and i will buy the supercars get my officers well trained and we will go after these high speed chases. if we got any of the demons, cars confiscated and maximum penalty. wira-lution,inspira-lution, civicRR, they can kiss goodbye. and adviseable not to try high speed pursuit. they will end up in pants.
