i use tons of apps, but with a task killer. my 1gb ram is usually 60-80% used.
so a 2gb ram would be awesome I'm not regreting my S3 purchase, just saying that i do see the benefit of the 1gb vs 2gb ram difference |

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Aug 15 2012, 01:44 AM) Please understand that swap is not the end all solution to RAM problems. I'm swapping and while it helps, SWAP IS SLOW.Watching the Note 2 with great interest. Size is an issue, but if it runs the same spec as the S3 WITH MORE RAM, it's a very interesting device indeed. Or better still, Sammy, give the 64GB S3 more RAM. Thee he he. BTW, after months of midnight instability, Celcom is now showing me H+. In bloody Kuala Lipis. Either we now really have HSPA+, or I broke something again. Greeting from Australia. Finally i own a S3 with telstra! Hah it really is amazing, especially when u're migrating from blackberry. Got myself 16GB i9300T, still reading on root n might be to silence the shutter sound.
Now anyone knows a great apps that records ur spending? Oh n recommend me some photo editor too. Prefer free version. QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Aug 15 2012, 01:23 AM) i use tons of apps, but with a task killer. my 1gb ram is usually 60-80% used. Well it is a good spec, but i cant negotiate with the size form of note2. Would get an actual tablet.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Hah it really is amazing, especially when u're migrating from blackberry. Got myself 16GB i9300T, still reading on root n might be to silence the shutter sound. reading that xda link about ram swap, has only further enlightened me that 2gb ram does make a nice difference Now anyone knows a great apps that records ur spending? Oh n recommend me some photo editor too. Prefer free version. Well it is a good spec, but i cant negotiate with the size form of note2. Would get an actual tablet. so yes i would love 2gb ram *drool Although technologically/logically 2gb > 1gb, but for the average joe like myself, you can still use the Samsung Galaxy S3 for multi tasking even with just 1gb and not really notice (unless you had a 2gb ram model beside you to compare I got tons of apps, but because i manage them so well using tools such as... 1. supersu 2. busybox pro 3. titanium backup 4. sd maid pro 5. easy task killer 6. adaway 7. avast mobile security 8. 1tap cache cleaner 9. greenpower premium 10 betterybatterystats 11. connection tracker pro 12. ad network detector 13. wanamlite rom 14. siyah kernel with Stweaks amongst other things... i can keep battery power, memory usage as low as possible by removing adware, and ensuring non essential traffic or app activity is working in the background. Added on August 15, 2012, 6:19 am QUOTE(rattan @ Aug 15 2012, 05:01 AM) not if you use OTA Rootkeeper, or Supersu which protects your device from being unrooted whenever updating via OTA This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Aug 15 2012, 06:19 AM |
