FLX engine sound is not really bad most of the time since cruising at 85km/h is only 2k RPM, maybe just slightly louder than the Vios at the same speed. So the weeeee sound is especially noticable.
It's when cruising at highway that engine sound + tire sound becomes really intrusive..
i thought we discussing those weeee noise from cabin filter ??

In terms of sound insulation, FLX should be worst than pre-FLX model, because not using bitumen base anti rust @ undercarriage and wheel arc. Pre-FLX big problem about engine noise is due to racing-car-like gear ratio, lower speed but @ high RPM, thats why engine noise is loud.
my FLX wheel arc will protected by bituminous coating soon... unker david know what happen...

Those who have "wheeeeee" sound issue with your cabin filter, please arrange a TT for me to troubleshoot. So far I installed several car no such issue. Not sure whether you installed correctly.
I myself got no such issue unless I'm on 4 speed, otherwise no problem. Paper filter is very efficient in filtering micro dust. Therfore some wind resistance noise is expected. Rest assured, wind flow blockage is minimal or NIL until dust clogging the filter.
david, my aircond cabin filter also got weeeeeee noise... if those people without weeeeeee noise, it mean that filter fit to that cabin, otherwise air leakage can cause the weeeeeeee noise, probably FLX have bigger cabin for that filter
anyway, i already solved that problem...

see any different here???
let's zoom in!! oopps!! some strip is missing...
ta da!!! modded my cabin filter, no more weeeeeee noise
