QUOTE(coolkwc @ Aug 3 2012, 04:48 PM) Hopefully u bro won't after you mention this, yesterday i did that, SmartTag gate doesn't open, and giving error code 'Belakang Sila Jarak'.. super emergency break, and the rear break 'krukkk.. krukkk..' redline ur engine to test the power, purposely drive into pothole to test the absorber, jam brake your car to test the ABS and EBD (Maybe airbag too), purposely scratch the body paint and plastic part inside to test the reliability of those part, turn on your aircon to the max to test out the powerful aircon, blast ur speaker to max to test out the speaker, slam 9 your door with brute force to test the door strength, hopefully won't, hopefully. need to send my car to COSE for drum break replacement since Proton already come out with official solution about the rear brake problem... |

Twice almost *kena* at the BET SmartTag lane QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 3 2012, 05:08 PM) Awwwwwww..... So sweet. CVT indicator turned on again?? You all have a reason to fear edit. Johor spec fox SE kambing edit... Oh btw... CVT indicator turned on again on NPE... did you play with that SAT button before it happen? |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 5 2012, 01:29 AM) I like the idea of different color for different speeds, just careful not to turn it into a garish christmas tree great job coolkwc... finally i can dismantle the meter myself, i just need to remove it, put in some silicone or sponge on the edge because the meter cover giving some rattling noise when driving at rough road... yeah, dares, agree with that too, i want to change the LED at 90~100 into green colour aka ECO speed... |

i was interested with FS actually but heard from few mechanic, they said it really does increase the performance, but the cons, our piston wall can't stand that heat for long term and result in piston kaput and the side effect to our engine as well... lastly, our pocket also koyak, need to replace this and that... so after hear from them, feel afraid to install one...

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 6 2012, 01:03 PM) Haha, there really is no way to prove or dis-prove this. The same for any performance mods, be ready for any consequences, like you wanna pakai performance air filters, be prepare to have more fine dust enter your engine. QUOTE(li_5997 @ Aug 6 2012, 01:04 PM) just like dares explained, any performance mods, there is some consequences.. nothing can prove or dis-prove this.QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 6 2012, 02:09 PM) knocking has more got to do with octane level, not the sparks from spark plugs. i didn't pass any judgement here, just my two cent, and i didn't confirm this This product has been thoroughly tested for 3 years before begin on sale to the public. Of coz there's always the if it is good why manufacturer don't use it yada yada argument and one point to counter that claim is perhaps the bureaucracy within automotive industry that make the company who pioneered this decide to stay away and goes to the mainstream consumer instead. I was first introduced to the device on December last year. I only decided to get it on July. More than 6 months to do reviews and gather feedbacks. One of the BLM club member already has the device for more than a year and apart from spark plug change at every interval, no major problems reported so far. No matter how experienced a mechanic was, he is still a mechanic, and hence whatever the mechanic said regarding a product which he never probably see or feel before, can be taken with a pinch of salt. How can you pass on a judgement so quickly without even experiencing the product? I'm not very sure bout this.... but for the Saga, yes it can. If the Persona shares the same fusebox design as the saga, then it is plausible. btw, long term effect, maybe 5> years? |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 6 2012, 03:51 PM) err, I haven't seen those devices yet, so I dont know how it works and how it was installed in order to work... except for the spark plug part. hmm, i believe in that too... thinking to find you during night time, to test out the FS performance before bulk order end.. One important element of these enhancement device such as this firestorm, slut bars, etc is you should be able to feel the immediate difference the moment you install it in your car. This I can personally confirm that you can feel the immediate difference, especially when you tested it in an automatic transmission car. BTW, your mechanic mentioned that the boost in ignition coil will have effect on the piston walls due to hotter temperature; and I found a very interesting fact in omara's link that counter back what your mechanic said; "Fundamentally, once the mixture is lit, it's lit. A fire doesn't burn hotter because you use a bigger match to light it; a bigger spark won't make the fuel/air mixture burn any hotter either. I have carried out many engine experiments involving changing ignition energy, and while there are some marginal benefits in extreme conditions (cold, damp, etc), the overall effect on power and fuel consumption on any modern engine is negligible." this week onwards, I wont be having any free slots due to my hectic schedule and my final exams is starting on 13/8. |
