yea, im playing on thelanis server

does this game ever lag playing with streamyx?

smooth as babies butt.. with 0% drop packet and avg 315ms latency.. which means... playable with no apparent lag.. mostly its server lag spike.. nothing to do with network.. but I do ping test before i log... ping -t www.ddo.com .. if confirmed no packet drop for 30 pings or so.. i will use that ip.. if there is packet drop.. i just reconnect and try getting good ip.. usually 2/30 days i will get bad ip

I just started playing today, getting familiar with it already. Let me know what server most of you guys are in. I created a character in Thelanis but i found an actively big malaysian guild in Orien server so i'm gonna start a new character there. see ya guys =D

Its F2P for noob levels.

You still need to pay to gain access to all the cool stuff and high level quests.

Its been a while since I played this. I frequented the Shroud raids to collect ingredients for my green steel weapon back in 2009. Never completed it though .

Ack, I'm necro-ing a post.

The game is free to play with various opportunities to upgrade for free ( completing quests earn you favor which unlocks the currency Turbine Points. You use Turbine Points to unlock more content ( player races, player classes, quest packs and etc ).

Alternatively you can pay the monthly subscriptions (3m 6m 12m etc)

There is a new promotion pack which is quite worth it based on the upcoming module Menace of The Underdark. Looks pretty cool and the PCs will be going to Faerun from Eberron where the game is mostly based.

@Chanfui - Kyhber server has a lot of Australian and Asian (Singaporean) players. I've heard tell of some Malaysian guilds there and have seen a few names (kesatria, lembu etc) but for the main guilds, they have one or two hardcore players from Malaysia but thats about it.

Used to play this game quite a bit...had a few toons at cap and even TR'ed.
But gave up after a while since endgame is just grind grind grind for loot which you don't even need.
And new content was usually aimed at the F2P players...all low level content (for those who don't know, there is an abundance of low lvl content) Might have changed now though.

Guild was Crimson Eagles on Khyber way back in 2010...think there was this one other M'sian guy there
