If you're UOB priority customer, might wanna check if they can offer you 3.7% for 12-months.
At least that's what they offered me. But I went with OCBC in the end. laugh.gif

Don't think there are any links online. It was offered by the RM cause had quite a substantial amount.

For min amount on premier banking, can check the other thread. Don't know if it's updated though. Best is to call them up to ask. smile.gif

For those opening up saving combo earlier or bonus saver,to enjoy 2.9% interest, they have to deposit 1k each month in month 2 and 3 only.
For those just purely open SS account, they need to deposit 1k any day in the month to enjoy 2.9%. And of course no single withdrawal. I remember earlier deposit RM1k is 3% and RM50 is 2.85%. Now 1k is 2.9% but not sure about now if deposit RM50, what will be the rate. Has to check bank website.

Any withdrawal will drop interest to lowest level. In your case rm8 is withdrawn, following bank rule will not enjoy 2.9% rate.
You better check with the bank whether the deduction by bank is considered as withdrawal. My guess is it is deem as witjdrawal because you probably has signed agreement to deduct from SS

if deposit RM 50-999.99 , it is 2.45% ... I think I call back and ask for safe ..

12 months FD is at 3.6%...no special promo going on now.

looks like can cross off Affin for now.

Hi, just returned from Mach branch at Sunway Giza. The 4% promo only starts today and end 7 March. rclxms.gif

For those intend to open the FD with banker's cheque or personal cheque, I was told only the Sunway Giza branch can process on the same day, i.e. FD starts on cheque bank in date. Other branches will ask you to bank in your cheque at Hong Leong Cheque Deposit machine (at HLB and and not at Mach branch) into MoneyBox acct; after cheque clear only you transfer fund to new FD via online.

I went to Mach branch at Paradigm Mall and end up got to visit the Mach branch at Sunway Giza to open the FD. doh.gif

Well, at least secure a solid 4% p.a. straight FD for 12-mth, less hassle for me. biggrin.gif

As per HL Connect, I am new to it, still learning on how to use it... sweat.gif

As I understood from the Mach teller, once you have the MoneyBox acct (open at Mach branch), you can operate (placement/uplift) the Mach FD via HL Connect, i.e. an eFD product.

Say I open MoneyBox a/c at any Mach branch, then I just bank in the check and start new FD via online? And upon maturity, I can withdraw it from ATM? Sounds good if true then I can avoid to walk in counter and waste the hussle..number queue, time and parking. Will be good if they offer cheaque book, do they?

Ok, found the button called "New Mach FD Placement" inside the MoneyBox acct detail screen. This is to open new Mach FD.
I am new to HL Connect myself... sweat.gif Hope this helps.

Hi, I see the Mach FD like eFD from other banks, e.g. MBB that I am using. You can double confirm with the bank. Not sure about cheque book.
