check everything is tightened properly. i had same problem, when climbing and the right crank was at the lowest position, i could hear squeaking sound. checked everything; pedal, seatpost, fork, bb. i even had my bb serviced but still didn't solve the prob. finally found the source of the squeak. the chainring bb was loose. tightened it with torque wrench and problem solved.

omg. I brought my pedal at pedalsport, and my bike at Bike Tech Subang (BTS)... should i send for checking at Pedalsport or BTS?

mind i know what brand of pedal are you u using?

QUOTE(butthead @ Aug 27 2012, 01:21 PM)
my answer fixes all your problems... "time to change bike" Giant TCR Advance SL  icon_rolleyes.gif  cool2.gif

few K's later... the inevitable happened... my sapim CX-Ray broken cleanly off the elbow on the non-drive side... WTF!!! i thought they were the best spokes ever...

i'm quite disaapointed with my own cycling technique.

a 62 years old man can cycle much faster than me. he explains that i have strength, power, and endurance advantage over him, yet why he still able to overtake me in 100KM hilly ride?

he said i cant catch up with him bcoz i'm dont have technical advantage. i'm just pedal 180 degree, while a season cyclist pedal 360 degree. that's where i lose to him... or rather this explain why i cant catch up with the group...

time to re-learn.

prepared to be screwed... once either bike shop start pointing fingers at things you buy from the other shop... you might as well start banging your head on the wall

anyways.. go to the shop you more familiar and got "connection" with lar... i am sure if it is jus a small pedal problem like taking out and re-greasing the threads... they won't charge you jack shit... but if it's the pedal... then you have to pack up and go back pedalspot lo... then if pedalspot, starts blaming the BB... haha... start the headbanging or cry like a 3 year old kid on the floor...

miaopurr must be using some alien pedals you never heard off... i bet..
yeah!! babe... here it is... jus give cyril a call and he will pull it out from your computer screen for you...
*
Fuuuuuuu....

thanks for your warning...

i will ask around... try few more hills before the major KOM race in 14 Oct.

your old man is bullshitting you lar... who can pull perfect pedal strokes after a long ride... that is why there is the term "pedaling squares" mar...

maybe your old man installed some motor in his seat tube like cancellara and trolled the hell out of you  tongue.gif

perfect pedal strokes are not something that you can achieve immediately... and you have to keep on telling yourself to do it until it becomes a natural thing...

the best way is to find flat as pancake roads and learn to pedal with only one foot with your clipless pedals...then rotate and do it with the other... once you can crank the pedals over smoothly with no jerky motions especially on 5-7o'clock and 11-1o'clock crankarm... you are more or less there...
*
62 years old, u can imagine how long he been cycling... so his 2cents must have something back up ma...

Come Le Butthead, guide us newbies, i bet there's other want to learn from u too...

where to find flat as pancake roads and less people... so that no 1 know you are in secret training...

most probably... but he just show you the surface while he keep the secrets for himself... like taking tongkat ali pre-ride and stuff like that... maybe that is why he 62yo still can ride like a stallion...

wat lar i have to teach you except the dark arts...

unless i am highlander and have lived for 500 years... i don't think i got jack shit to offer you... i myself is a newbie too  blush.gif we learn new things everyday too don't we...

like how a guinness after sex the night before a major ride lets you ride like a mad cow on clenbuterol diet + cera  rclxms.gif  not sure if it's the effect of guinness or sex that makes the ride better though....

mana ada secret training la.. that is the known method to start beginners off in fully utilizing clipless pedal systems mah... jus dun try to ride like that all the way to ulu yam... a couple hundred meters up and down the road each time alternating legs sudah boleh already... do it a couple of times per week and shit li tat...
*
notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

guess no 1 properly teach me on how to utilizing clipless pedal system....

i'm just like wake up from dreaming...

it's always there's live demo... people is good at copy.

she must have some nice assets...

there is no such thing as gender equality in this world... it's a damn lie i tell you..

either the girls have mind control capabilities or we are jus suckers..

well... i never like shopping and neither do i have the patience with girls no matter how pretty they are... too fickle minded.. always like, do you think this or this is better on me... makes me feel like throwing rocks at them... it's the same blardy thing for god's friggin sake... jus make up your blardy mind already before i chew myself to death...
it's not exactly 5.5km from my home  brows.gif

sunglasses.. ain't that gonna raise some suspicions?
so, you want me to answer the leisure part or the ride part? i am at a lost here...
*
ok no sunglasses.

i know there's a lady, guess she asked the "right" person, and her ride is green white Cippolini with Di2, and some carbon wheels... easily can hit 15K....

so is Le Butthead De Desa Park City tour ON???

nah I am more function over form......as long as its not in Girly colors I am fine thats it  laugh.gif

f/f - fame fork

FFBS - 'BLEEP'ing Faraway Bike Shop

rims I am thinking about a custom set from Hope in Sillypore should be cheaper then the Bikepro option.

More questions then answers  laugh.gif  may take the MIC (Made in China) option into consideration.

5 figures was mis-represented by my left brain should read 4 figures. Plus whatever money I can get from liquidating my bikes.

The Scott CR1 frame is 2nd hand (2 years old) at half its original price in a FFBS. again the inherent risk. At that price it would boil down to MIC frames.

210lbs I would like to think of as muscles  tongue.gif .......+30 due to a lack of sleep over the last 12 years. So I can say I am fat now.  sweat.gif
The CR1 prices are mighty attractive as is, why would one buy anything else ? Bikepro list prices is pre-discount right ?

Getting a knee jerk reaction now......reading CR-1 reviews in roadbikereview.com ...... my fear as per usual. The ride/handling. Very worried about the hamfisted handling downhill. Granted I am no UCI certified racer tongue.gif ...one can hope, cant they ?

argh bro... suddenly too many jargon short form word... brain cant brain!
