check everything is tightened properly. i had same problem, when climbing and the right crank was at the lowest position, i could hear squeaking sound. checked everything; pedal, seatpost, fork, bb. i even had my bb serviced but still didn't solve the prob. finally found the source of the squeak. the chainring bb was loose. tightened it with torque wrench and problem solved.

perfect pedal strokes are not something that you can achieve immediately... and you have to keep on telling yourself to do it until it becomes a natural thing...

the best way is to find flat as pancake roads and learn to pedal with only one foot with your clipless pedals...then rotate and do it with the other... once you can crank the pedals over smoothly with no jerky motions especially on 5-7o'clock and 11-1o'clock crankarm... you are more or less there...

The Scott CR1 frame is 2nd hand (2 years old) at half its original price in a FFBS. again the inherent risk. At that price it would boil down to MIC frames.
