You wrong. Dokter also get very lucrative commision on selling drugs. Got at least like >30% profit margin + further incentives by medical rep for helping to push the drug if sales is good.
So consultation fee is free money for him.

Even if the doctor don't charge you his consultancy fees, his ubat sale alone already allow him to make lots money.

That's why some doctors push expensive drugs kaw kaw and he will tell you he will not charge you consultancy fees to make you think he's very honest and generous to you.
Actually money is already made by the sale of the medicine alone.

Excerpt -

In situations of overcharging, the clients may appeal to the authorities in the hospital where the doctor is working, or lodge an official complaint with the MMA Ethics Committee or the Malaysian Medical Council. Overcharging, when confirmed by these bodies, after due inquiry, may be considered an ethical matter and appropriate action taken against the doctor.

MMA Schedule of fees -

If you feel you have been overcharged, you can report.

TS, why did you go to the clinic?

that is a very famous clinic. the doctor is very good. last time i see 3 different doctors before going to see her and the spots i had on my skin went away in just 2 days after her treatment, despite being around previously for 2 weeks with no signs of subsiding. if you not happy with her price, please go to other clinics, there are many clinics in that area. simple things no need to go see her. she is hardly panel because she don't need that to get customers. everyone that knows that clinic knows she is not cheap, but people still go to her.

Why did I go to the clinic? Well captain obvious, I am sick.

I am not local, I just go there because I think the clinic looks old and still can be there, I would have thought, hey, maybe this clinic is like my good old hometown clinic. Which I was proven wrong. And it's near my house.

And from all the feedback I've got here, I do not think his price is reasonable. And I definitely will not go back to that clinic anymore.
