That sound came from wear & tear of the camshaft there.. All cars also have that kind of sound but due to campro iafm engine, they use plastic rocker cover, making the sound more audible.. If u listen to older version of campro which is non iafm, the sound are hardly heard..

If u want to minimize that sound, u must use a thicker EO which is 50 weighted.. But then you'll sacrifice your FC & performance..

One thing for sure, the sound won't be coming from timing belt.. Timing belt is not like the outer belt where timing belt have those kinda gear thingy which lock it into place.. It can't slip, and if it happens to slip, your engine for sure will sleep one..

Compressor belt sound. Try turn off your aircon when got that sound, The sound won't be audible after that.

i dont on aircon during morning start. the sound will only last 5 - 10 minutes then will disappear. the sound will come back after i start the car when the engine is cold.

i got another old car which timing belt slipped recently, it was hold by the timing belt cover, thus still can drive but producing some intermittent "tikus noise", really intermittent so very hard to find out the noise culprit.
Mechanic remove all v-belt still got noise, he then remove timing belt cover, once crank start engine immediately the timing belt came off. Luckily engine still can use after replace water pump(culprit) and new timing belt.

My also like that, only cold start got some belt sound...it last few minutes then gone. When I go SC, cant even show them the sound...
But they check the belt, and tell me the condition is still ok.

my dad claimed he opened that door and maybe did not shut the door tight enough to keep it closed.
after a bump and some slightly rougher roads, it opened but not the fling-out-open type. it's like we did not close the door tight enough but hooked..
