If it under warranty, go claim....Last time when my car under 2nd Service, tell them the Horn high tone missing....they check and found 1 horn not working, got replaced and still working till now. (2years +)
*
nope, my car is year 2008 manufactured, but i just bought it "new" recently, so no more warranty. Normal campro engine nobody buy mar, left in junkyard for years.

Oh, mine is persona "hatchback" btw. tongue.gif

One thing for sure, the sound won't be coming from timing belt.. Timing belt is not like the outer belt where timing belt have those kinda gear thingy which lock it into place..  It can't slip, and if it happens to slip, your engine for sure will sleep one..
*
i got another old car which timing belt slipped recently, it was hold by the timing belt cover, thus still can drive but producing some intermittent "tikus noise", really intermittent so very hard to find out the noise culprit.
Mechanic remove all v-belt still got noise, he then remove timing belt cover, once crank start engine immediately the timing belt came off. Luckily engine still can use after replace water pump(culprit) and new timing belt.

Jerking at low speed <20km/h only. Once up to speed no more jerking.
*
i got no idea how cvt "jerk", never drive cvt before.
is it because of "clutch half engage-disengage" action during acceleration from standstill, like manual?

Audible when low speed. Can hear inside car cabin, outside also can hear. Like ah beng who install fake turbo sound.
*
I think i got my gen2 same period with your persona (end march this year right?), but i already notice that sort of sound 2-3 months back. it was more audible during morning cold time slow driving, especially when gear was ready to shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear engagement. but after drive a short distance (complete 1 full engagement of 1st-4th gear cycle), the noise will disappear, weird. fyi, i changed the atf to pennzoil multi-vehicle atf (which stated suitable for sp3 replacement).

ahhhh....seems like I'm not the only person with the whining noise. Mine occurs at early morning during the first 5 km. You can hear the whining noise from inside and outside, and it gets louder if you switch on the AC! Any tips guys? It's almost time for service, about another 500km. I cant bring the car to SC and ask them to diagnose as the noise will be gone by the time I reach SC. I need my ride daily, so cant leave it overnight for them.
The wiper arm starts to get rusty lar! how to change the part? And my front lamp inside got dust, should be able to change under warranty right?  icon_question.gif
*
hmmm, gearbox whining noise shouldn't affected by air-cond, yours seems more like belting/tensioner bearing issue... hmm.gif

Is Castrol Edge Sport 10W-60 FS Gooding..? Clocked 9700km, unable to wait for my Cusco order on November as i'm worried i might clock over 11000km which affect my warranty claims in future.  sad.gif

Any better viral than Castrol edge sport, Cheaper alternative and available to grab in shores now..?

Thanks Sifus  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

siham hx7 10W40 user here, after changed from castrol mineral 15w40(used for engine run-in) to this current siham, FC increase and pickup slower. wat to do, already stock-up a few bottle during tesco and carrefour promotion. sad.gif
i guess although it's still same xxW40-weighted oil, but siham maybe thicker abit.
