Tick National Data Roaming

If you don't use Data, tick 2G only or chose GSM only smile.gif

You can choose, either going to Umobile centre, some better phone shop not those usual accessory shop or approach some agent here.

I guess agent here is able to process more quickly and easily smile.gif

Hey guys. Just wondering. Since I use umobile for laptop only and I just bought PSVita Wifi version, is there any substitute modem that can work just like Yes 4G's wireless dongle? I really want to make good use of the broadband instead of just just sitting in my bag.
*
Buy a wireless 3G router

TP-LINK MR3420 is a good choice. RM80+/- @ LYP

Ahhh. I'm sorry but I can't use that though. What I meant is pure on the go internet.
*
Get a MiFi device.
E5331, E5676 and etc. Or just a battery powered wireless router TP-LINK MR3040.

Or just simply throw the sim into a phone and tether

I've checked for umobile coverage at http://www.u.com.my/coverage
I only see 2G being highlighted in my area. How do I know I'll 100% get roaming to other telco? Will it roam to maxis or celcom? When roaming, am I limited to 2G EDGE internet only? no 3G on roaming?
*
Ignore the map, Umobile coverage map is broken many of the information not updated after transformed from Celcom to maxis

Buy a cheap sim card from 7-11 and sign a cheap package and test, just dump the sim away if performance is bad.

Anyway, if you need trully reliable, just get Celcom, no telco can rival that.

can force meh?
my area in the "coverage" is only in 2G
for 3G, i need to go to the city area...later sunday will try
*
Forcing to 3G would force your phone / modem to get 3G only.

Thus, highest transmit power to lock on unless the situation is so bad that it is impossible to receive any signal

its on the setting is it?
cuz i tested on both phone...it indicates "E"

If it is an Android phone.

Go settings and tick WCDMA Only
For older one you can just uncheck the 2G only

http://ukblog.im-mobility.com/zte-mf60-fir...pdate-available

I found this. But the comments section says not compatible with sim-locked carriers. BTW d/l is not possible due to expired link.

Do u have alternative weblinks to d/l latest ZTE firmware ?
I find  http://www.ztedevices.com/support/ hopeless to get in further.

Not all are locked, some are locked

ZTE is a complete failure on their device tech support doh.gif

Would you recommend to change my current maxis postpaid service to umobile prepaid services? nowdays i got ridiculous charges from maxis..even i didnt make too much calls..my bills still more than rm100..current plan maxis family rm80 with supplementary line.

Hows the umobile services now?bad or acceptable?
*
Obviously you used a wrong package that doesn't suit your needs.

Go to a nearest Maxis Center and seek their help, they are more than happy to find a suitable plan for you smile.gif

Since you don't use a lot and I guess you need free calls among family, Umobile prepaid is very nice biggrin.gif
