I just switched my phone to 2G and now i'm connected to My Maxis... i did a manual network search i'm able to get connected to MY Celcom... looks like U Mobile has started their migration to Maxis... but i only able to get hooked to Maxis 2G not 3G yet...

after a few test i found my that when i use My Maxis the internet is faster then My Celcom...


Anyone else can get connected to My Maxis 2G with their U Mobile Simcard?

yea, if i switch to 2G it connect me to celcom 2G,.. then i manual scan and connect to maxis 2G,..

the Edge of maxis 2G faster than celcom 2G for sure,..

nice... will try when i balik kg this coming raya holidays...

yea i just now tested again, normal auto is celcom2G, i do manual switch to maxis 2G,. much faster,


but cannot switch to maxis 3G yet

possible to switch from postpaid Umobile to prepaid Umobile ?

started already? much earlier than expected (assume start from october)

then 3G also roam on maxis network ... again, paying umobile fees only, using 2 top network.

u mobile 3G not yet can ride maxis 3G,..

tried on on my S2 and also GNote -- press & hold power button to get the option to restart/ airplane mode/ etc.

selected airplane mode. then disabled airplane mode. din work. still at roaming.

then tried disabling the data mode (using the same power button method). also din work.

seems have to go to settings --> network... *sigh* so troublesome.

i just receive 15% bonus today when i top up yesterday and make a IDD call after top up, i top up RM30 and today get RM4.50 as bonus of 15%,.. nice

roaming to maxis 2G modem way better than roaming to celcom2g modem . as of in the lift maxis 2G stronger than celcom 2G in my area here,.. and also overnight using battery less,.. and main thing is maxis2G edge E faster than celcom 2G EDGE..

tried. yes can roam on maxis 2G already, 3G still not available, still need wait until october.




going to call up umobile why i didn't get 15% bonus....

and also remember to ring any IDD number after top up, the 15% bonus come normally after 24 hour sharp for me,.
after quota, use maxis 2G EDGE is much more save battery compare to celcom 2G for sure

i normally top up RM50 then did IDD call straight after that and get RM7 on the next day after 24 hour straight,..
