QUOTE(eikozai @ Aug 5 2012, 12:59 AM) These 3 days i'm very frustrated with my U28 broadband. Instead of having 3G, i keep get roamed to MY CELCOM and the connection was EDGE only, damn slow. no worry, u-mobile going to roam to maxis network soon, bye bye to celcomAnyone experiencing the same thing like me?? paying umobile fees - using maxis network, hehehe |

QUOTE(digitalboy @ Aug 16 2012, 01:01 AM) I just switched my phone to 2G and now i'm connected to My Maxis... i did a manual network search i'm able to get connected to MY Celcom... looks like U Mobile has started their migration to Maxis... but i only able to get hooked to Maxis 2G not 3G yet... started already? much earlier than expected (assume start from october)after a few test i found my that when i use My Maxis the internet is faster then My Celcom... Anyone else can get connected to My Maxis 2G with their U Mobile Simcard? then 3G also roam on maxis network ... again, paying umobile fees only, using 2 top network. Added on August 16, 2012, 1:39 pm QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Aug 14 2012, 04:19 PM) i no getting 15% bonus - might call them up what happening... system flaw? This post has been edited by coolstore: Aug 16 2012, 01:39 PM |

QUOTE(krel89 @ Aug 17 2012, 08:45 PM) oh really? guest i have to accept that.. direct calling always more effective than sending email.but really, where can i complaint to for coverage... i send alot of email towards umobile for their coverage in my area, but never had any improvement.. i think i need to complaint after raya at cfm calling got recorded, cannot pretend never receive ur complaints. i did once call up for call dropping issue, the cs replied immediately will send technician to check up, next day already solve. |

QUOTE(krel89 @ Aug 24 2012, 09:30 PM) apperently, when i search netwok manually, i saw maxis network name has changed into umobile.. it is in both 2g and 3g.. and i dont know which one is umobile own network and maxis network anymore to test it out~ i don't think it is 'changed'. u should be viewing the umobile own network name: it has 3G Umobile & 2G Umobile. |

QUOTE(sakon93 @ Aug 26 2012, 11:00 AM) do u guys know hw long does it takes for the my umobile to be reconnected once u have paid the bill?? postpaid? cnygarage is ur guru here. or call their help line.i have paid full payment yesterday n yet my port connection is still closed... Added on August 26, 2012, 9:23 pm QUOTE(azrash @ Aug 24 2012, 11:55 AM) best way to test it is to get a prepaid U Mobile sim card and test it with your smartphone or usb modem with speedtest.net or downloading drivers. That is what I did to test it out. that's true, don't commit to postpaid plan (particularly with fixed contract terms one). umobile prepaid pack just RM8, maxis now also got RM5/pack, Digi also come out prepaid smartplan and prepaid internet RM30/month right? use these prepaid tool to help u discover which best for ur area instead of asking anyone else (unless he/she is ur neighbour). for wireless connection, we can't rely on what other ppl say (different place/different environment condition), only can confirm it by using it urself at ur own place. This post has been edited by coolstore: Aug 26 2012, 09:23 PM |

QUOTE(Eugene91 @ Aug 29 2012, 04:36 PM) so how umobile perform in miri now? by using dc-hspa+ class modem here in kl (at my using spot) can get average 13~15mbps, last time using a hspa+ class modem getting around 6~7mbps, finally knowing the true power of dc-hspa+ network (dual channel, hehe). if miri also got umobile network already, really no regret going for it. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Aug 31 2012, 06:42 PM) anyone noticed the speed has dropped? previously able to get like 3Mbps but lately, less than 1 mbps. maybe fixing sth ... ya u mobile or u mobile 2g, but speed ok.also, lately, when I search network, u mobile 3g no longer appears as the name. only u mobile or u mobile 2g. I'm now wondering if u mobile had started to ride on Maxis backbone, but with throttled speed. (didn't dare try those speedtest often, they suck the volume heavily if at high speed) |

QUOTE(adam20 @ Sep 6 2012, 03:17 PM) want to ask ah how is umobile coverage are they using the sharing the same signal with maxis? or umobile not as good? bad?at my place, umobile is far outperform maxis. with dc-hspa+ MF680 getting 15mbps speed, while put same modem on maxis only can get 8.xxMbps. Yesterday done a new testing method, confirm both umobile and maxis also running DC-HSPA+ network in my place (thus both are the max dc-hspa+ speed here), tomorrow if got time will post out a more convincing way to verify network standard and quality in a new thread. share it out. QUOTE(epo @ Sep 9 2012, 12:26 AM) i top-up at 2pm on 7/9. made idd call at 4pm 8/9. next time remember ask the customer service personnel name/number when getting some info u feel not quite true, otherwise if u call up again for further clarification then being asked by another cs who told u that previously then can't report it...wait until 10pm 9/9 still no 15% bonus. so i call them, they said top-up, then make idd call, then top-up again within 24 hours... so the 2nd top-up will get 15% bonus work like that kaaa... |

QUOTE(lpsoldier007 @ Sep 14 2012, 08:01 PM) Hi. throttled speed 64kbps but depends on area, some place got higher speedI am planning to migrate to U Mobile prepaid broadband from Celcom. I want to subscribe to MB 40, 2GB for RM 40 per month. My question is, what happen when I used up the quota given? Throttled speed or sucks my credit till 0? |
