Questions regarding the digital aircon

Is it possible to use the digital aircon without wiring and sensors for its auto-aircond function?

Usually market price for installation?
  notworthy.gif thanks in advance
*
yes u can do... but yet u need the blower MOSFET... so what u can do is control the temp and the fan only... u can go to auto mode but only the louvers cant control.

the price usually at rm200 for installation.... cant find who is doing cheaper...

Anyone here can recommend me good ICE shop nearby Equine park or Bangi  smile.gif  Saw many people at brothers bangi, but dont know the workmanship quality or overcharge installation price

Wanted to change front speaker and add amp. The amp maybe buy used unit to minimise spending hehe

The front door stock is 5.25 rite? If change to 6.5 will it cause any problem? Like my dad's neo, he changed to 6.5 then causes the rain water to drip in the cabin...after heavy rain whole carpet wet  doh.gif

hi guys...

I wonder how much can I get for this car if I were to trade in:

1.5 Wira A/B, Auto
2001
Lady Owner
Good condition

any car dealer here?
*
Lady owner usually no value, you may fecth max 7k but i doubt it will be 5k or lesser, if it is not a lady owner with a proof of a proper preventive maintenance done, you might fetch the price up to 9k but i doubt the dealer will give u 7k max.

Market now everyone avoid lady owners car because of neglected maintenance and do not know how to maintain the car on a normal drive and even if there is a problem.

You wouldnt wanna to buy something that someone says "errrr, i dunno.... must ask my bff.... errr i dunno the mech take care all of it.... i dunno i dunno"

Hi, im planning to transplant my 4g92 to 4g93 sohc c/w gearbox juz wan to ask sifu here is it worth to spend few k on a 18 years car as it born in 1996. And body work also need to do coz never paint b4 another few k to spend. Juz wanna getting some opinion from you all or change car better?
*
well it is a very subjective topic... it is depends if you wanna to stick with loan or buy a used car.... another used car is another adventure where u might step into the unknown cost unless you know the car and the owner very well.

fix back the car and plonk in 93 engine is a great decision if you wanna to save the money and forget the rest of the world... imagine if u loan a car every month need to pay rm500... what if u can mod ur car rm500 every month hahahah it is more fun but remember all the mods is priceless.

u buy the 93 engine kosong can edi... the rest is the same with 92... so the cost not much maybe 2k or below 3k complete with workmanship and replace all the belting and etc... if your engine still ok condition u can trade in and reduce your cost.

gerabox, why you wanna to change? convert to manual? well if conversion then it is a different cost! in this case i would sell the car out and get another used ones done conversion edi.... save the hassle...

As you said installment is my concern part as i oso planning to get a house if buy car now will add up the burden as the most cheap saga oso nid 400+ installment a month. But sometime juz thinking tat if i get a new car at least it will b less prob than old car?juz my feeling la hahaha....

My auto gb done overhaul 2 years ago, it change gear not smooth at all at the first day i get the car but when i complain to the foreman that overhaul gb he said( IT IS LIKE THIS ONE). what to say? money paid nothg to do end up change foreman but no more budget at tat time. done it 1.7k. Now the engine cant even rev over 4k, the top is ok cos my car don have white smoke but i think the conrod bearing is giving up create knocking sound when free rev.

Steven, transplant to 4g93+gb or full overhaul 4g92 engine+replace gb which one is more worth? bcoz my car mileage bout 400k done 2 top overhaul and 1 full overhaul bac in about 12 years ago. i scare open up the piston oso nid to replace den the cost will b more high. Or do you have any suggestion?
*
Well transplant to 93 is ok.... with gearbox it wont be cheap, are you looking for auto tranny? Well I would say transplant to 93 and utilize all the parts u still have in your car, I agak2 the price would be 1.8k to 2.5k not including gearbox. Overhaul would be a budget idea and less hassle... call my partner KHAS Garage Angah at 0196663841 and let him advise the best... he can source the best deal.

new? or recond...?

have no problem with mine, thinking when it will kong, it's 10th year,
green sticker one is DENSO and Sanden? too dirty can't identify, drier is black colour, 04 wira VDO.
But I heard it's interchangeable (DENSO and Sanden) with additional bracket/ modification.
*
Green is APM or PATCO.

Denso is red and Sanden is Blue.

Mine is not recond, it is new ones bought it almost rm1k....

the drier black colour hmmmm seems like the cheap ones where APM or PATCO use ones.... I dont like APM or PATCO because the cooling very slow unlike DENSO very rapid cooling and the compressor take less power from the engine.

haha.. which part can u save me?
*
you see there is double charge

compressor (recond) - RM 450 (normally they will calculate the labour of installing together)
Drier - RM75 (freaking expensive... normally rm50 only)
A/C Flush - RM 288 (supposed to be RM385) - but now they're having promo (CON job... they just vacuum which it is a compulsary job when replacing compressor)
radiator fan motor - RM130 (motor only and they charge the whole fan price lols... motor only rm45)
Oil treatment - RM110 (another con job where compressor oil only rm30 max)
Labour - RM70 (again they charge u labour)

Normally max would be rm6XX only.... if nothing much issue should be rm4XX but if full overhaul and replace cooling coil and valve etc then it will be 10XX.

not too sure the fan vibrates or what.. but u know the radiator fan on/off at times right.. when it spins, there's some vibration sound inside the cabin.

in a way i guess its the fan which vibrates.  rclxub.gif
*

fan not balanced? but if i didnt change the fan that day, it shudnt happen right? so most likely the installation not right.
i feel like buying honda city 2014 .. tongue.gif

any idea how much trade in can get these days?
*
The motor rotor might not balance with the fan blade thats why it vibrate at certain resonance.

keep it as a spare car better than selling lah.... no value edi now

Then next time die die will change to Denso type,  notworthy.gif , last time got quoted RM550 to change to Denso compressor, recond type.
why did you get new one? how to differentiate new or recond type? beside price biggrin.gif ?
mind to enlighten us how to differentiate recond or new A/C compressor? never encounter new part, close to RM1K, wow, worth its price if can last another 8 years.
*
now mostly get is denso design only.... not really denso itself... denso itself very expensive anyway i bought mine at proton fair at shah alam.... not cheap also leh rm5XX leh but at least i know ori from proton lah.... but the sticker there dunno write what ah beng leh..... recond unit is the one they take back and replace the seal and piston.... recond unit always depends on your luck...

QUOTE(GKWong @ May 5 2014, 02:29 PM)
sigh.. most of those air-con service and repair shop likes con ppl. They just put some normal 1T oil into the system before filling the gas and some of them will tell you that their oil treatment is like the oil drop down from heaven and trying to charge customer very expensive. Then most of them will tell you that compressor cannot be repair one.. and bearing cannot be change or very hassle. Then insist you on getting a highly overpriced recon unit. Then will say the old compressor not worth a penny and they will help you to disposed it. Damn those foreman thought we all are idiot.
Even worst... I personally heard before the foreman told me car air-con is more complicated and car engine and some repair will cost few thousand.... bla bla
As for the fan motor, actually it should be below 100 bucks since is just the motor itself only. But in the market I guess they all selling around 130-160 for the bare motor without the assembly and blade.
So guys.. please be careful when approaching air-con service and repair shop. If possible don't straight away agree with them and try get advice from few ppl or other workshop. As they know the weather is very hot here nowadays... so they will try to hentam you
*
yup i agree.... if more than 1k i rather buy the tools and do my own lolssss
