i think my previous mech adjusted my auto cable.. now kinda shifted too early to 3rd gear.. and i get knocking when i am driving up hill..

temp solution is to manually put in on 2nd gear and then change later to D...

should i adjust back the auto cable ? hmmmm

The pinging sound is the ignition too advance... if ur one is MMC the adjust the distributor down by 1mm... if still pinging then another 1mm...

I have 1 wira 1996 1.5(A) stock condition. Planning to tune it abit... Where should i start?
*
there is no tune a bit, it is all about budget.

Whats your budget? and whats is your target?
always stay away from bogus performance parts such as surbo, vs and etc...

1st stuff u can play for free is ignition timing by playing the distributor....

if you are using 1.3 for year 2002, then should be using clutch cable which is same as mine. But I am not sure about 1.5 or other spec out thereĀ  hmm.gif
You can see clearly if it is using cable or hydraulic when u pop up the hood. Is near the brake pump. If you are not sure then better send to garage ask them check for you.

4g15 wila is cable.... except wira diesel 2.0 and 1.8 wila and 1.6

mine is 1.5 so it should be cable. how to adjust a? also, my wira steering vibrate vigorously when air con is turn on during free gear. y ah?
*
check your engine mounting, others than that carb engine is normal if idling vibrate because of the carb afr mixture idle not perfect compare to fuel injection.
