QUOTE(CooLeRthings @ Feb 17 2007, 02:41 AM) OMG not surei wanna try this any way to get it? since i haven't get the LDM+ i might take this as my amp pcwork, is there any price tag for this amp? i also saw it over internet.. =P but for me. my cmoy work best with HP890 hahaha will try out some pimeta soon if possible. LD2+, PPAv2, mini-eph, LDM+, PA2V2,Class AB of eokboy had been heard. just not suit my taste. |

QUOTE(yrh0413 @ Feb 18 2007, 02:56 PM) try ask this in audiophile main forum, or u ask in headfi.ppl with basted u with all the amp they like, or the most expensive type. and if u tell then u are using LD2+... guess what will be their action? u knew it. and in some ppl's eye. MORE EXPENSIVE IS BETTER. |

lol.. cmoy is the best for HP890 IMHO... =P
reason : for such lower end headphone. it doesn't require such expensive amp, as it's limited by the headphone itself. =) and HP890 is relatively easy to drive. plug it to computer sound card can get around 80%-85% of it sound already. This post has been edited by PcWork: Feb 18 2007, 04:09 PM |

QUOTE(Aquanox28 @ Feb 18 2007, 06:27 PM) Sounds kind of complicated..May I know where can those parts be obtained? there's is NO prebuilt cmoy. except audiotrack Dr Head. or Grado HA-1if u willing to folk out 300 USD for what u can get with RM 50 go ahead, sound wise. own built one might have slight different, but IMHO not far. and i never tested HA-1. what i know is cmoy is mimic the HA-1. and even using same parts. all the parts can be obtain from jalan pasar. except the opamp. for that try to contact bsl555. he might got some. |

QUOTE(walabies @ Mar 5 2007, 01:35 PM) not good. tried it with PPAv2, and Zhaolu, the improvement not even as much as ksc75.the different is not obvious with driving it with cmoy. only lower noise level. i guess, cmoy is enough to pull it out max already. so when ever is more expensive. only wasting ur money if u can afford zhaolu, try some other things. =) QUOTE(lAh0S @ Mar 15 2007, 10:32 PM) Where is your HERE refer to? OMG. ppls. don't buy units from LAH0S... later u can smell somethings. or when some toilet water splash onto the earpad. and yet you wearing it on ur head..OMG....If comfortability is an issue for you, then the 895 might not suit you that well. I heard lots of people complaint that 895 is very uncomfortable when wearing it for a long time. I got my super duper 890 record myself, i wore it over 7 hours without taking it off. Even go to toilet i also plug out the cable instead of take off everything. meet u that day also i can't imaging u so "steady"... wakao..... |

QUOTE(besaid @ Mar 28 2007, 09:18 AM) if you bought it like after 4 or 5 pm,then you are a bit late than me...i got it for RM185.but too bad, there's an infection on my right ear,so i will leave it for burning-in quite awhile...dont want to dirty my precious baby sapu??wanna challange me??=Pthat shop gal said that only got 1 unit left,i guess you are the lucky one.i thought of sapu-ing all,but lazy go ATM.you are lucky, man initial impression is that,890 is really fragile comparing to 8900.but the cushion is much much more softer...no chance to wear it yet... QUOTE(yrh0413 @ Mar 28 2007, 07:16 PM) yeah according to china website, 8900 is better than 890. much more better according to them. i posted the page in davis sales thread.QUOTE(besaid @ Mar 30 2007, 11:23 PM) 890 come to papa....![]() |

QUOTE(besaid @ Mar 31 2007, 02:40 AM) haha, dare not, dare not...1 for my bro,1 for me.initial comparison...i find that 890's cable is kinda loose and easy to drop off,8900 come with a lock kinda thingy to ensure the cable wont come off...and 8900,you wont look out if you bring it out...but 890 will make you look weird with its suport kinda thingy at the top... hm...the music side, just wait a bit more for burn in 1st... as john grado said "if music is not important until you willing to ruin your image, then you don't deserve a grado." =P perhaps that applied for philips hp890 also. by the way, i love HP890 because of the loose cable. i can fit any type of DIY cable into it. HP895 and HP8900 all cannot easily use DIY cable. |

QUOTE(xecraph @ Apr 11 2007, 12:19 AM) Dear all, lol seems u love HP890 more than 895 huhJust wanted to add this in about the SHP895. I've been using it for more than a year maybe nearly reaching 2nd year. The sound is nice. But then bass might need a little getting used to. If I remember correctly compared to my friend's HP890, the sound is more or less the same but SHP895 might sound harsher a bit. Now the bad news :- 1) The springs are very strong and it will clamp your head real tight. Your skull might get sore after 30 mins usage. (or maybe i got big head la i dono 2) The very bad news is the engineers didn't do a very good job on the design of the plastic parts. Because every time you take your headphones on and off, you tend to stretch it wide a bit before putting it on your head or taking it off. The plastic parts will be stressed. Mine has already snapped on the right hand side on the left it has chipped already. All other plastic parts are showing stress marks. So my advice is. Treat your SHP895 VERY VERY VERY gently. You can't stress it at all. Otherwise it just won't last. =P by the way hp890 also have plastic problem. cheap stake headphone mah but after i glue it. yesterday i sleep on it. no problema...~ |
