grado headphone without sound stage sound very bad to me when i play some vocal heavy song..or some orchestra. even philips RM80 Hp800 can beat it.
so it's really preference matter..

hp895 even can't recable as it's locking machanism is blocking.
except soldering the cable straight into driver.

well.. your millage might vary..for me. yes

i am still thinking a solution of not mod the HP895 but can change to custom cable.
but cut the stock cable and recable will not do any good definately.
and it will be hell ugly.

now you know why i have 4 of them...

a lot of my fren owned hp890 go tested out hp8900, and the said the sound is much improved, especially clarity. compare to stock hp890.
but then, they don't really wanna sell off HP890. i asked them why, they just don't really have an answer.

and... they love modded hp890 =P

my mod is different now. i had add in several mod after that. =P

final mode of hp890 will come out after i come back from sarawak trip. hopefully that will poison even more ppl.. lol

only one choise. recable it, solder the cable in, and fix the cable on headphone, and need to have some physical modification.
the original locking machanism cannot fit normal plug, its just too small.

get hp8900 lah. why so susah

from my friend who owned HP8900 and HP890, tested HP895.
he said HP8900 is the better than philips 890,895.

better in everythings.

Hp8900 is easy to drive. not really need an amp.

Hp8900 does have deep bass and certain level of guitar string.
u already bought hp8900 or not?
if u had bought it. u shall know about it. else. u better go try it out.
and if u had bought it and still not happy with it. the only way is to change another headphone.
that hp8900 not much different after amped.
