Fully modded iPhone 4 on iOS 4 = 5 hours heavy 3G surfing time (which I agree). With a single core.

Fully modded custom Sammy ROM S2 non G WITH 2000mah battery = 5 hours heavy 3G surfing time MAX. With two cores. WITH the Momax Expower 7 hours MAX.

No AOSP/AOKP/MIUI because it takes away usability (no MHL out, etc etc).

Fully modded S3 (which isn't even fully optimised yet, like every other new Android phone) = 6++ hours heavy 3G surfing time. With 4 blardy cores.

Am I happy. Yes. Is that a fair comparison? Not really lol.

But 8 hours on iOS5? Wow. A shame I never had the 4 long enough to get that.

Not being biased, but the iPhone lasts longer in terms of battery capacity still...

Well, that's what I got last time. On auto brightness lol and 3G lol, BLG1 and Siyah kernel. Best time, and I have NO idea how it happened either.

I did uninstall a lot of crap from the ROM though. Including most if not all the Sammy stuff (except Allshare and Samsung Account).

That was before my Tasker "JuiceDefender" profiles too. Now I have my spare batt and I really don't bother much anymore. I'm even running StockMod kernel for the butter now, and I'm sure it gives shittier battery life lol.

As for the i4, I can't comment further because I lost it before it ever got a chance to taste iOS 5 - which like you said, had battery life improvements.

On iOS 4, the iPhone 4 it's just below the S3 level to me, I even had to run around with TWO 2000mah battery cases just to make it through a full day.

Seriously. I'm not biased either as I LOVED my iPhone 4 (except for the "closed garden" niggles like bluetooth and crap).

Maybe my i4 had a bad battery - which doesn't really explain why my bro's STOCK iPhone 4 dies very quickly even to this day, even with iOS 6. Hmm.

Going slightly off topic, the camera on the i4 is brilliant though, even to this day.

No need. For me I just run S Voice at background, because sometimes it is hard to give "stop" command when the S Voice is not running at least that's what I found.

To reject phone, no need, you can kill all the background apps and you can still reject the phone call.

IINM Wanam did post a linky for "just" the kernel in the WanamLite thread yesterday. I posted the link a few pages back too.

I don't see any harm on update firmware for camera.

and yes WanamLite v1.9 still as smooth and better than v1.8 because BLG6 is a much much better ROM especially it fix the cracking sound during music playback.

Yep, including Wanam's genius init.d OOM tweak for near zero launcher redraws, no matter what launcher.

Did you dial from origin Samsung dialer. Example such code won't working in dialer like Go Dialer.

It is working for me in WanamLite v1.9

I using s3 to stream tvb drama series. Any idea, why the video freze but the sound still running? Just freze about 1 min then continue playing then after that freze again.

im using samsung dialer. never tried other dialer yet.
