QUOTE(weretiger @ Jul 24 2012, 02:19 PM) but what version of CWM manager you using? Ya, mine also, as that one is chairfire version, the touch version is not chairfire version.i launch CWM and it says "his version is not....... and you should install another verion...." I don't care that as I never use that .apk version, I always reboot to CWM and use from there. |

I don't mind paying rm5-6k for a macbook air or pro for them .A notebook assist in studies not a phone This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 24 2012, 06:41 PM |

QUOTE(Dark_Angel85 @ Jul 25 2012, 10:11 AM) I'm on a 2G area. Logging into facebook and Google (Gmail) is 100% fine. Slow but fine. Doubt about it, one of the reason Nokia fail long time ago as Nokia put in crappy hardware after the end of N95. Nokia simply use all old hardware spec during beginning of Symbian Touch OS.@Eiraku Ah... as much as we love unibody builds(I practically drooled over the N9 when it first came out and I held it so carefully in my hand; and those Lumias 800/900)... I think it'll be a bomb. I wouldn't want it to be aluminium or metal though cause the waves would be killa~ but the polycarb on the nokia devices.. still, I would say Nokia still makes the BEST hardware of all. So Happy! Antutu Benchmark v2.9 seems fixed something that probably screw my previous benchmark result.
Not sure is it because the fix of "Add verify scores by network time, avoid cheating by reduce local clock speed". 1st time my phone can reach 12k. It never been 12k for me, always 8k to 10k My phone setting: - WanamLite v1.8 ROM - WanamLite v1.8 Tweak Stock Kernel - Deadline I/O Scheduler - Pegasusq Governor - Min 200Mhz | Max 1400Mhz clock frequency ![]() |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 25 2012, 02:32 PM) oh i didn't know this. thx for the info WanamLite nicely tweak, it change the Status Bar to 15 toggles and remove some Samsung Bloatware and also add-in 4 way reboot options and nice kernel tweak.By the way i've been looking at other mods such as the wanan lite http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705866 do you know if the WanamLite has the good features from the samsung stock, e.g. like gestures ? also what is your recommendation for a custom rom for the s3 ? from what i've seen so far ... cm10 - has the latest jelly bean, and uses 100% jelly bean features. cons however is missing lots of stock samsung features especially like gestures from the touchwiz 5. is a preview rom, as not all features have been fixed for a stable release just yet. cm9 - has access to touchwiz 5 features ? and stable. WanamLite - features seem to be good, and they did remove bloatware which is awesome. not quite sure if they retained the stock goodness of the s3 though The GOOD is you can use back Stock Status Bar & install back all Samsung Bloatware, which means it can 100% same like Stock with better smoothness UI and functionality. WanamLite is the well build ROM, I highly recommended. |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 25 2012, 02:59 PM) by the way with that wanam, does it retain the camera features like shooting a picture and you get 20 pictures to choose the best one from as well as some other special ones such as... Everything is there, nothing is missing, except as I said before, some Samsung bloatware is removed and not using stock status bar. All can revert back as Wanam provide it as separately for flash back.http://trickvilla.com/2012/samsung-galaxy-s3-smart-features/ WanamLite (or CheckROM, Omega and etc) is stock modified ROM, so you get everything, it is not like CM or AOKP which not base on stock. QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 25 2012, 03:09 PM) sorry could you elaborate further regarding why you don't like omega vs wanam ? I know you not ask me, just give my own opinion on this 3 popular custom base stock ROM.I was looking at the omega, and the front interface seems to retain the stock interface which i like, and yet gives me the option to mod the device. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « so now i'm stuck between omega and wanam's AndroidFan4's method of doing it seems a bit more complicated to do, so most likely not going to use his http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728308 I use CheckROM before, end up I like more on WanamLite ROM, both kind of similar but I find out WanamLite much smoother and update regularly. Omega ROM - too many tweak and none base on what I like. Also keep seeing here and there got people post on compatibility issue with Omega ROM. That is the two main reason I not even plan to try on it. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Jul 25 2012, 03:20 PM |
