Don't worry.. reminds me the time I bought my SII when it first came out... RM2099 hard cash.
Then... suddenly price drops to RM1899 and then a sea of people holding it. Literally everyone had it...
Same with the SIII now... bought it like a few weeks ago, then POOF** now 1 fella in school having one also... another teacher ordered it. 2 more teachers looking forward to buy it.
Like buying veggie from pasar
I feel you bro. I feel you.
Same case over here regarding the S2. Paid launch price, then POOF.
Thankfully, right now most of the guys over here seem really satisfied with their S2s, Notes and Nexuses. So I guess I have another half-year of being "cutting edge" (lol).
It helps that - to non-nerds - there's actually really little to be "wowed" over with the S3 vs the S2/Note. Quad-core? Pfft. Dual core enough edi. HD screen? Pfft. Note got asso, bigger wan summore.
ICS. S2, Note got.
8MP cam. S2, Note got.
1GB RAM. S2, Note got.
Even if the S3 gets cheaper, the S2 and Note will get cheaper still and people (aka the "general, sensible public") will buy that.
Like me, I upgraded for the Wolfson DAC lol. I doubt normal people would be that
crazy liberal with their finances UNLESS they are a habitual upgrader - which there's actually a lot of out there - or like me, they have a specific niggle with the S2/Note/Nexus that FORCES them to upgrade.
@ZeneticX: You have to repackage manually from Wanamlite ROM, IINM there's no CWM zip for JUST the kernel. Not that I've seen.
But yeah the "Wanam" kernel is effing smooth. It's like butter through FPSE when Siyah would just stutter. And battery life ain't bad at all.
I miss the audio tweaks of Siyah but, heck, I like me butter more.
