QUOTE(noobandroid @ Jul 27 2012, 08:14 PM) Where got? All ebay saja, murah2.But the Tech21 Impact Mesh not for me jor. I thought MESH would mean that it actually has holes in it, which it does not. It's actually a very slim TPU case with anti-impact 3DO built in around the sides - no real "mesh" at all lol. Just dimples on the inside. I emo now. It's otherwise very well built though (and for RM150 IT SHOULD BE) and it should survive side drops easy. On the bright side, the Neo Hybrid is VERY, VERY GOOD - after you go get a razor blade and trim down the buttons on the inside. The change of the base from silly-cone to TPU is genius. It offers less protection from side drops compared to the Impact Mesh though. Anybody want the Tech21 case? Very hard to get over here... This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 27 2012, 08:50 PM |

QUOTE(llk @ Jul 27 2012, 09:03 PM) So the feedback from many websites about the issues for the power & volume buttons is true? It is really too sensitive to when touch? YES. Touch the BOTTOM of the case near the buttons enough edi. After shaving the internal nubs off it's perfect though. Not hard to press at all. Also my usual method of threading a lanyard/strap around the speaker and headphone cutouts work fine with the NeoHyb, so yes you can use a strap with it. Here's some pics, taken with a BB (hence the quality). Check out the first pic to see what I mean about using straps. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 27 2012, 09:52 PM |

QUOTE(llk @ Jul 27 2012, 09:56 PM) Ya in fact this is considered a very nice case among others in the market in my opinion, hopefully SGP realize the issue and rectified it. If you can't wait you can always buy it anyway and get creative with a razor blade lol. Besides the button nubs issue it's a GREAT case. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jul 27 2012, 10:52 PM) Just notice XXLBG6 MODEM is not working properly when using as Wi-Fi hotspot, my laptop can't connect on it. Funny. I can hotspot no problem on LBG6 (WanamLite + StockMod kernel).Flash back previous local XXLBG1 MODEM, now problem solved. Reception also not much diff. QUOTE(HafisUN @ Jul 28 2012, 05:59 AM) USB Charging = 490mA max.Wall Charger Charging = 1000mA max (and NO, using a 2A/2000mA charger is NOT gonna charge your device faster). My NeoHyb can fit my sempit car holder YEAH. I'm loving it more and more. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 28 2012, 06:12 AM |

QUOTE(peachmonkey @ Jul 28 2012, 07:33 AM) Bro, where did you get your Neo Hybrid case? Is it the SGP one? I haven't seen anyone selling here yet. Ebay. Direct from Korea and yes confirmed ori SGP cause I verified the code included online edi.Slightly cheaper then Spigen site because free shipping so I went there. Only one colour option for Colour (White) and Lumi (Blue) each though - which was fine by me as I wanted the Blue anyway. Arrived within a week. God bless the guys at Korean Post. My advise though, if you're not handy with a razor blade / have aversions toward mutilating (ehem... modding) your newly bought case, wait for the revised versions to come (say, in one or two weeks). The oversensitive button issue is real. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 28 2012, 08:15 AM |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jul 29 2012, 01:38 AM) Probably kernel issue.Try switching between few kernels. Aiks. SEA you're in this gang asso edi ah? Or just dropping by?For some reason these kernel devs love to mess with CPU/GPU clock speed & core voltage value. Thing is I'm on stock modded kernel, which Wanam has touched very little on except for some sound mods and stuff. If it was Siyah then I'd understand. I have only gotten Nova 3 today though (just had to see what the fuss was about), maybe I'll see what happens in a few more days. I get FCs from Dead Trigger too, but that was during my Siyah days. Nowadays less it seems. Anyways, my sis just got herself a 4S. And it turns out her "perfect" IPS screen is EVEN yellower then my "warm" AMOLED. A shame because I DID try my best to get her a good unit. And we worry about warm screens lol. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 29 2012, 01:54 AM |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jul 29 2012, 01:56 AM) I'm still in good ol' SGS II gang.I'm thinking of joining the Nexus gang when Google release their next phone. I wanted so badly to hold on to the next Nexus or GalS myself, holding on dearly to my heavily modded ICS S2 at one point. Aside from the crappy battery life with SGS II everything else is fine. No idea about iPhone screen. My sister's iPhone have been butchered with multiple hacks & running some sort of black theme the last time I saw the phone(last week to be exact) So everything looked black to me Telling myself that "Quad-core is nothing", "It's just a Pentile screen" or "There's only 1GB of RAM in that thing". But in the end - considering the S3 was everything I wanted the GalNex to be (Wolfson DAC, 8MP BSI sensor, mSD slot, USB audio... and more lol) - I gave up to the temptation lol. Weak is the heart of the gadget freak. I'm still pissed it didn't come in black though. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 29 2012, 02:35 AM |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jul 29 2012, 02:52 AM) I think I have much better self control than you.My heavily modded S2 should last for some time.If Sammy release official Jelly Bean for S2 (which looks like done deal) I think I have no problem holding on till next next Nexus phone release. I can understand wanting the latest and greatest software from the source itself, which the Nexus series is generally for (plus the total.compatibility of having it optimised for your HW).I'm no camera enthusiast but I prefer camera sensor which is better than 5MP that Sammy put in Galaxy Nexus. If Google put together decent set of SOC,camera & microSD slot I'm all in for the next Nexus phone. Main reason why I want Nexus phone is because proper continuous software support unlike crappy support what the majority of Android OEM providing.I know you can flash the phone with AOSP/AOKP roms to update the phone but it'll cripple some of the functions.Don't get me wrong,I still think group like CM is doing good thing but what they are doing is not the solution for the OEM's crappy software support. SGS & Nexus S basically have similar hardware but Sammy said SGS cannot run ICS.But Nexus S is running Jelly Bean now.Sure Sammy did thinker with their version of Android but aside some reskinning I don't see much of the added functionality that requires a lot of resources.Too many BS coming out Sammy's PR. I can go on & on on why I want continuous software support for all but then it'll be too many technical stuff. From what I found out from N900/N9 threads people don't seem to like discussing technical stuff here. Too much out of topic rant And yes, Sammy does have a lot of BS coming out their asses when it comes to updates. At least the bootloader's unlocked for most of their phones. But if you already know that much, you should know that there won't be no more microSD support from the Nexus series EVER (from the GalNex forward) as Google just loves unified storage and thinks that external storage support is EVIL lol. That aside, if the Nexus series ever comes out with a device with good enough hardware, I'll have no qualms to move over though. Unfortunately though, they have yet to do so, at least not for me lol. QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jul 29 2012, 11:24 PM) If you can confirm that Korean S3 2G & 3G frequency match Malaysian telco's frequency I think some member here will be more than happy to order some Korean S3. Should match. Except LTE (unless we use the same LTE standard later, which will be gooding). But Korean S3 is severely lacking on the ROMs and Kernels part. Even IF you can read and write Korean. @alwinnng: If you want IEMs come ask me. I don't do anything bigger, no patience to carry cans around. Personally I'm using the TDK EB950, a relatively unknown plastic fantastic. Beats the Shure SE215 and lower end Senn IEMs clear out of the water SQ wise - IF you like "musical" signatures that is. Now planning to cross breed Foxhound and Wanamlite. Wish me luck. |

After crossbreeding Foxhound AND Wanam AND JB Domination, managed to FINALLY theme dialer and contacts in LGB8. No FCs no nothing.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Now can sleep. BTW my phone just survived a drop from table height straight to the top edge of the phone. The NeoHybrid did it's job fine, no ill effects to the phone (or the case, I half expected the plastic trim to break). Kudos SGP. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 30 2012, 04:54 AM |

Wanam StockMod kernel out: http://bit.ly/MUYV7m
Flash it and enjoice the buttery goodness. Also, the CPUSLEEP app (or script) does not work because supposedly hotplugging already does this. The script/app even screws up screen-on battery life. Check HERE for info. I'm deleting the script off my init.d. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 30 2012, 05:51 AM |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Jul 30 2012, 05:56 AM) forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1741463 You don't need wireless HDD. There's one particular type of Samsung 1.8 inch external hard disk (the Mini S1) that works with the SIII. No external power needed.Added on July 30, 2012, 6:06 am Umobile is unlimited. When u exceed cap they will throttle you which is fair seeing as their package is cheap. The only con is, their bandwidth quota is small. Added on July 30, 2012, 6:17 am The skills variant also has lte4g. i Think the wimax service in Malaysia offer 4g. Added on July 30, 2012, 6:23 am Think outside the box. Can use wireless portable hard drives which you can put in your pocket or bag. www.gizmowatch.com/wireless-hard-drive-top-7-reviewed.html Good luck trying to find it on the market though lol. It's an old model, and only the 120GB model has been tested to work. But heck. 120GB for your phone lol. Until the 128GB cards start rolling out, who can beat that (and even after that, 128GB + 120GB storage you can stuff in two pockets lol). And, technically, wimax is 3.75G. Only LTE is 4G. Anything else is just telco bullshiat. EDIT: The Mini S1 250GB seems okay with OTG too. Time to go shopping. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 30 2012, 06:35 AM |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jul 30 2012, 08:42 AM) Hence the whole "sharing technical stuff in treds are bad" thing?Sigh. I miss the old N900 days. Oh well. I warned them. I'm freed of any responsibility. @Terry: NO. Wanam only comes with a modified/adapted V6-like init.d script to give memory priority to the launcher (or something. I never bothered to check the insides). DON'T TOUCH THAT. In stock Wanamlite (with Wanam's StockMod kernel), there should only be ONE file in init.d. If you installed CpuSleep, just uninstall the app should be enough. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 30 2012, 09:02 AM |

QUOTE(oopet @ Jul 30 2012, 08:56 AM) guy.. need to ask again White is... well... white. Hypergloss does look nice with white (it looks dual layer), but Hypergloss on Blue is something special. It's glossy and metallic and shiny in various almost magical ways.which 1 is better blue or white? will the colour fade out if i use in long term? thanks I like simplicity though, so I went with white (because there was no black. Bad Samsung. Bad bad Samsung). Nobody knows if the colour will fade or not though - the S3 has only been out for a few months. This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jul 30 2012, 09:08 AM |
