So CPUsleep this app is recommended to use or not ?
Need sifu advise....
*
According to some kernel devs - NO. Hotplugging already there and does the same thing.

But it's your choice maa. If you feel it works, why not? At least the same kernel dev said that it doesn't do any harm (apart from increased SCREEN ON battery drain).

hi guys ..just brought my new S3 since my galaxy note was Rob . notice that the LCD quality not as sharp like G note and it have some yellowish tint and also when i took a picture with this phone i notice that the camera picture noise is so bad even in low light or bright . Already transfer the pic to laptop and view still the same .  Am i getting a faulty unit ?
*
Not sharp like G Note? It's smaller, it should look (and actually is, PPI wise) SHARPER. Did you put any screen protectors on - cheap ones ruin the sharpness.

Yellow tint? I have a slight warm tint, but nothing like my sister's piss dipped iPhone 4S (read: STRONG yellow tint).

Camera noise in bright situations? Do you have auto-contrast on? It shouldn't be noisy in bright conditions, in dark conditions normal lah.

If you checked all the points above and it didn't help, you got a faulty unit.

about the LCD screen....  I also notice my blue and white SIII have different LCD color...  white is brighter than blue...
*
Unfortunately, no two AMOLED screens are created equal.

And before anybody starts biatching about Samsung QC, "the great fruit company" has issues with making phones with equally coloured screens too, okay. And their display isn't even organic.

Slight yellow tint is actually more "natural" as far as colours go. But Blueish screens supposedly last longer (more/healthier blue OLEDs).

Like SEA said a few pages back, it's Sophie's choice... brows.gif

Haha I also got rob on Saturday .
The screen is small but doesn't  mean the quality have to be compress until certain dark picture we can broken pixel on the image
*
Broken pixel? You mean hot pixels issit? That's a flaw, go exchange your phone for a new one.

As for black crush (if that's what you mean), I remember the Note display being worse at this.

@jcksn: Juice Def is fine but I recommend Green Power Premium/Free because of it's simplicity.

Although I'm actually using Tasker to do all this Juice Defending for me. Tasker is a pain to setup though - so I usually recommend GreenPower to people.

Personally , I'm abit old school . When it comes to cases , there is only a few brands I look into . Otterbox if I'm looking for protection and Vaja for leather case .
*
I'm increasingly partial towards SGP myself these days. They are getting noticeably better with every product.

IMHO, if the Otter Commuter changes the Silicone Core to TPU, I'll consider it again. Had it for my N900 last time - the Silly-cone is just far too soft and dust attracting. Design wise it was perfect though (for a protective case).

I agree with u on that but on the other hand , having few phones with otterbox and survived a fall , i must say I'm very impressed and confidence with the product . DELL Streak , famous for it fragile screen . My Streak survived 2 falls , screen 1st .

p/s : still keeping the Nokia N810 ?
*
The N810? I can't seem to unload it to anyone, so yeah. I just charged it up yesterday actually, my dad wants to use it as a car MP3 player... brows.gif

It's still working fabulously BTW. A testament to Nokia's durability. They just don't built gadgets like they used to these days lol.

Hey guys... anyone using JB Domination / ICS Domination theme?

Which one of those files are compatible with BLG8? SO far, I only see up until BLG1
*
The BLG1 one works with BLG8. But you gotta mod the zip because phone and contacts will FC otherwise.

Easy way: Open up the zip, go to vrtheme -> system -> app and DELETE the secphone.apk and seccontacts.apk folders. Then flash. Should work fine.

A bit more work will make phone and contacts work fine though... brows.gif

Just rename them and it should work. The dialer & contact apk usually same for all the samsung roms except Samsung name them according to the rom name.

@Eiraku
You have any recommended E-Mail app?I use Yahoo & GMail with my phone & want integrate both in same app. Most decent email I used to far is the Samsung email app but it's giving me headache lately.
*
KaitenMail is good. Very good. Thing is, I don't use anything else but Gmail these days so I fail to see the need to run anything else but an inverted gmail app (black is good). If I ever use any other email again I'd prolly run back to Kaiten.

Ah... Just saw his thread... Working on 1.2 and hard at it.

I can wait.

Cause the main one that irks me is the TW dialer and contacts so removing that defeats the purpose eh?
*
Why wait for V1.2? brows.gif

This is on BLG8.

Main advantage of the vrtheme framework is that it's largely ROM-agnostic, as long as the files to be changed do not differ between ROMs.

And you can largely mix and match stuff as you please amongst vrtheme packages, or simply delete what you don't like. It's very flexible. And everything (except 9.png and compiled xml editing) can be done on device.

Kudos to Pulser_G2 actually for coming up with it. Balrdy brilliant.

But it's fine to wait for v1.2, it should have some "extras". Vert is hardworking like that.

Delicious new toy I got a few days back:

C pen? Bleegh. This thing is miles better. You can ACTUALLY see what you're drawing ala the Dagi stylus. But unlike the Dagi, the clear plastic plate is replaceable.

What is the price tag?
*
I got it at Machines Setia Alam because I wanted to get the goodie bag and enter the lucky draw (which I won lol). Price was RM80++.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Surprisingly though, it turns out the price is cheaper then getting it online from Adonit (RM100++ lol). Wow. First time Machines sells stuff cheaper then the 'net.

Worth it? Well, it's totally aluminium, has replaceable tips, a screw on cap and is feck sexy so... yeah IMHO. I've used them cheapo rubber nub stylii before (and a lot of them) and I can say they come nowhere near as far as accuracy is concerned.

Losing the plastic tip is a constant fear though. But at least they sell replacements for RM18 for pack of two.

Those using FlexHD/iDefense/Zagg type SPs might wanna hold off buying - the plastic disk might not like urethane surfaces that much.

how is the draw lag and the sensitivity?
*
Sensitivity is great. Draw lag, not as inspiring - not really a stylus issue any more, it's more a hardware (or at least hardware OPTIMIZATION) limitation. We really need Butter to draw fluidly immathinks.

Nothing close to the Note but hell, we don't have an active Wacom digitizer built into our screens.

But for rough scketches, image editing and stuff in PhotoShop Touch and LayerPaint it's more then serviceable, especially against a soft cheapo rubbernub stylus that's not any better than my fingers.

Anyone think he's still bhurt due to the whole Siyah thing?

Sigh. I'd go Siyah again if it wouldn't lag my FPSE so much (which it did, badly). Not willing to trade smoothness for "diminishing returns" again lol.

Yea, to his credit he does. Have been with him since the VERY FIRST closed betas of his S2 kernels, and yeah he's a great chap.

But I'm getting older now, can't be very much bothered to have a hand in helping dev something any more (besides themes). Especially not when StockMod is working fine thus far.

I'm just stumped with work most of the time lol.

Maybe when I have a long holiday I'd have a talk with Gokhan about improving responsiveness (if he hasn't solved that already by then).

I don't deny the Siyah audiotweaks work though, they do - very well too. But the Sammy guys have done quite a good job with BLG8 stock kernel too, audio wise - without killing off too much responsiveness and battery life IMHO.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem too. Can't find any solutions yet. Have you? Anyone, any idea on why or what can we do?

Thanks.
*
UNINSTALL THE "LINE" APP GUYS. It's broken for now.

This should be in front page sigh.

I dropped a cutter blade directly onto my screen today. Bye bye Nano Optics, the blade punctured a hole clean through. Screen seems fine though.

Now using the free Nano Clear from my Neohybrid packaging. Ugh, I HATE clear screen protectors.

NEED... TO... BUY... MORE... OPTICS. Nano Clear is starting to annoy me lol. That said, the Nano Optics is DEFINITELY more fragile than the old Ultra Optics (They ARE thinner after all).

Hopefully my PhoneDevil matte SPs have arrived. Need to test those too.

One reason I bought extra. hehehe

I bought 2 packs. Screwed up the first piece. Somehow punctured the second. Screwed up (again) the third piece. Dropped a pocket knive on the fourth.

Am I unlucky or what? 2 packs of Nano Optics in not even a month is very sad.

For about the same price, I got 4 effing packs of PhoneDevils (two pieces each, shipping included), hopefully they're good enough.

Sad rite? Only SP I KNOW can stand my brand of roughness is the Estoc - which is STILL not out yet for the S3.

I'm thinking of buying an iPad Estoc and cutting them to fit the S3 though - I know a Thai company is doing that.

About rooting, can we secure root access guys? Like giving su a password or someting (without messing up SuperSU). Because if someone manages to SSH into our phones (somehow), with open su access we're practically screwed IINM.

Or something. I hope I'm not just being paranoid here.
