P/s: Do you guy use any power management apps? I'm just a casual user and don't really into rooting, so I was looking for some apps that I can directly grab from play store.

any power management app will limit yr data connectivity. that's y u get late sync cz the 3G cell antenna is one of the most juice hungry component. i guess it's a trade off then if u want longer battery life.

odin is not a rom. just a tool to flash .tar files

PS: how would i know the correct steps ? even on xda there are so many pinned threads it's confusing. even the wanan thread install guide, straight away jumps to install app, and doesn't even mention how to root or if you need to shocking.gif they have big assumptions everyone knows what needs to be done beforehand. but for a virgin android user, it's a bit alien like walking on mars for first time laugh.gif

thkfully rooted s3 retains this feature nod.gif hopefully they mean that for future mod rom updates, they can still keep the feature as well.

basically u just need to install the CWM recovery to install ROM. not necessary require root. but i think the CWM comes together with root if not mistaken. long time ago liao when i did mine. do check the xda thread.

Anyone have any recommendations regarding protective casings for the S3? Wanted to get the otterbox or ballistics casing but seems like no one is getting them into the country atm..

I recommed ballistic sg case. I just bought and received yesterday from ebay. RM90+ after include postage (30+). It may a bit bulky but you will definitely feel secure when you hold your phone..^^ No more scare the phone will break once drop.

jailbreak is download any paid apps for FOC
furthermore we no need to unlock also
