I played HoN for many years, pretty much every game I can see these words "tang ina" or "Bobo"...and its getting worse, I quit recently because of them, they just love swearing and cursing so much of these alien words in HoN.

haha, true that.. i stopped playing MMORPG because of them
told them to speak english, they insist on tagalog
damn hard to communicate with them, they have no respect for the other community.. spamming world chat with tagalog

most common words i came across is "sali pt/guild ako pls"

Have met some pinoys in World of warcraft and a friend joined a pinoy guild before too. They are really nice people to talk to. Reminds me of my friends from America as they are funny and are like family.

I think the ones you are talking about are the ones I meet on league of legends sometimes. Just like what xadie said. Usually you find them in free to play games.

Thanks for that. Yeah. It's true. That sort of thing happens in free-to-play games. Usually they're kids or out-of-school youths. I try to do my part to "educate" them but I can only do so much. That's why most of the time, I stick to subscription games. In our guild, we don't tolerate that, most especially in international games. Never even played LoL or HoN or DotA because of that. tongue.gif

One thing I'm gonna do the first few weeks is farming WvW skill challenges. They reset each time the match up changes, which will be quite frequently in the beginning.

Seriously those things RESET?! shocking.gif
*WvW changes every 24 hours in the first two weeks.

In WvW we're not just limited to PvP contents but also including PvE contents, skill challenges, map completion (point of interests, waypoints, etc), big bosses, etc.

So there are some skill challenge location inside WvW map. Since WvW will reset every day on the first two weeks of release (to balance the game out), means everyday we can farm those locations once...

Not sure if Anet taking any measurement to prevent this farming though.

If not, this will be one heck of an incident- PvP of different faction getting to skill challenge location...

Thx for the info,
and manage to grab some new info from reddit as well,
*There is no cap on Skill points.
You even use items bought with Skill Points to get the crafting legendaries.*

*In the long run, yes. You still get skill points for endless levelling from 80 to 81.
However that takes much more time than farming these resetted wvw points given that they indeed reset each day.
Legendary weapons require 200 skill points, amongst other things.*

Thank you guys for not generalizing on my countrymen. Some of them are pretty ignorant when it comes to language, but those are them "bad apples" so to speak

Anyways, OMGeek* is still yet undecided on which server to play on. I've been following this thread and it seems you guys have decided to roll on Sea of Sorrows. Our only major concern is that the server might be too populated and it will be very hard to get in especially during the first month of play.

We'd love to ally up with the LYN community as you guys are a fun bunch to interact with, but at the same time we would also want to play the game right away come day 0

*Disclaimer: OMGeek is compromised of people around SEA and not purely Filipinos FYI :3

Smash the bulky door with your rusty hammer/axe and blunt sword... (can you imagine how TOUGH those doors are?!)

Anyway, WvW seems a lot more complicated/stuff going on:
- PvP in WvW obviously
- PvE & DE in WvW
- supply management
- construction
- secret chamber? <- not sure

Might be a good idea to read this: http://www.guildwars2hub.com/guides
(scroll down for WvW guide)

As long as you don't ended up like this lah...

dafuq! guide! thanks! i'll read that up haha.
as for them 2 pics it happened quite frequently to me lulz.
guess i am not ready for guild wars 2 dynasty warriors edition yet.

and i dunno got PvE and DE in WvW sweat.gif
i thought only a few level 80 mobs here and there.
dunno got farm-able skill points also. are there many? easy?
if like this mean everyday must queue WvW to farm those skill points for the first 2 weeks. sweat.gif

I heard people say [12] but it's better to check out on tomorrows stress test to confirm (as map posted on the net lacking a lot of icons).

I dun think latency gonna be a problem,
so far durin BWE, Arenanet is doin well to keep the server well maintain and free lag feast.
All this while Imma playin wif 1mbps and on 2+ years old GT425m lappy and is doin good
though not on ultra high graph setting.

Hi inque! I thought I was the only Filipino here in the forums. Glad to know I'm not alone. laugh.gif You working here in MY? SWAG (the guild I'm in) will be rolling on Sorrow's Furnace. I'm afraid we're the only Asian guild in that server. I think Pro Baddies (Indonesian guild) are still undecided where to go. Well, we voted on it, we stand by it. tongue.gif

There's a stress test scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 3AM. You'll need a beta pass though, unless you have pre-purchased, then I'll have to say "Enjoy the game later. rclxms.gif "

There's a stress test tomorrow morning for 4 hours, starting at 3am if u pre purchased the game thru gw2 website.
Me to just quit WoW at the early of deathwing raid, and been jumping around from MMO to MMO,but from my observation(also from friends that been trying BWE and such)i'd say this is the game to play after WoW.
Also there's no monthly sub for it!

When you join a guild, the guild gets 10 influence pts (10 pts per member). Doing PvE/PvP generates more influence points for the guild.

These points can be used to upgrade/research guild perks. These can range from having a guild vault to various buffs (increased Exp, Karma, Toughness, etc) for the whole guild.

And of course, new friends! And good times! rclxms.gif

Oh hey nice to see a fellow Filipino also! I'm based here in the Philippines but our community branches out to SEA so we usually interact in LYN forums as well :3

We would love to ally up with a fellow asian Guild for WvW as our numbers are still small at the moment
