That's a lot of allied guilds, and their size is unknown. I wonder where they decide to roll in.

And I was wondering what the major concern was all about.

While that is true with other games, I believe that wouldn't be the case with GW2. That usually happens when the game is free-to-play.

Please don't stereotype pinoys. There are a lot of courteous players out there. In fact, I haven't seen a pinoy curse on world chat when I was in SoS back in BWE1 and 2.

Thanks for that. Yeah. It's true. That sort of thing happens in free-to-play games. Usually they're kids or out-of-school youths. I try to do my part to "educate" them but I can only do so much. That's why most of the time, I stick to subscription games. In our guild, we don't tolerate that, most especially in international games. Never even played LoL or HoN or DotA because of that.

Hi inque! I thought I was the only Filipino here in the forums. Glad to know I'm not alone. You working here in MY? SWAG (the guild I'm in) will be rolling on Sorrow's Furnace. I'm afraid we're the only Asian guild in that server. I think Pro Baddies (Indonesian guild) are still undecided where to go. Well, we voted on it, we stand by it.


There's a stress test scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 3AM. You'll need a beta pass though, unless you have pre-purchased, then I'll have to say "Enjoy the game later. "

When you join a guild, the guild gets 10 influence pts (10 pts per member). Doing PvE/PvP generates more influence points for the guild.

These points can be used to upgrade/research guild perks. These can range from having a guild vault to various buffs (increased Exp, Karma, Toughness, etc) for the whole guild.

And of course, new friends! And good times!

They're for a limited time only. From as little as 30 minutes to as much as 24 hours (i think).

There is some truth in it but not entirely. There may be some "mature" players who would rather play F2P than pay for games. Or some rich ass spoiled brat with no proper concept of ethics who can afford paid games and just does and says what he likes.

It really all boils down to one thing, a person's concept of ethics. However rich or poor a person is, his concept of his ethics will define who he is.

Anyways, cursing and a filthy mouth is not just specific to us pinoys. Everyone is capable. Your concept of ethics is one thing that will define you.

Thanks. No harm done. That's what I requested from my guildmates also. When they're going to be in World Chat, speak English or don't talk at all.

I do hope I don't see anyone do that in this game. I wanted to play in SoS also to help monitor the pinoy community but we ended up going for "The Furnace".

A good strategy for WvW: Do the jumping puzzles on the WvW map when possible. When you get the chance, everyone doing WvW should do it. Why? because of the loot at the end. Blueprints! Free blueprints!

There are 2 jumping puzzles in WvW. One is in the Borderlands, don't know which. And one is in Eternal Battlegrounds, which pops out in random keeps.

Yeah. I'm actually proud to be a newbie sometimes(depends on situation). It means I have room to improve/grow. And that is scarier.

The blueprints are used to build the Siege weapons to take down the enemies or destroy the gate. To build the siege weapons we need the blueprints and a specified number of supply (provided regularly to your keep/castle via supply caravan). Some of the blueprints cost a lot.

There's the Flaming Ram that takes down the gate.
The arrow cart that fires hundreds of arrows to disable/kill our enemies.
The BALLISTA! I love this! a huge arrow/spear/harpoon machine for enemies/gates.
The Catapult and the Trebuchet used to take down gates and walls.

These weapons make a lot of difference in WvW.

Forgot abt Siege Golem. Sorry.
Was not able to try that, maybe that's why I forgot.

That's why I'm only making human female and probably norn female since any other female no appeal unless you have fetish for trees and beasts and female version of Yoda.
