iPhone 5: 4.1" screen

A familiar rumor is back - the new confirmation coming from KGI analyst Mingchi Kuo, who is said to have sources close to Apple's supply chain.
The next incarnation of the Apple iPhone could turn up with a 4.08-inch display of 1136 x 640 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and a brightness of 500 nits (matching the iPhone 4S). This, despite not technically being HD worthy, would result in a density of good 319 pixels per inch, preserving the Retina moniker, and moving away from the familiar 3:2 aspect.

Guys, new owner of iPhone 4S here since July last few months ago.

However, just few days ago, a big issue arises: I can't hear the caller sound, voice, nothing. I can receive calls, they can hear me, but i can't hear them.

Hardware issues? Unlucky one? Bought the iPhone w/o any call plan from Celcom. Told me i have wait for 30days to get my iPhone issues identified. Time is not on my side. I've to study abroad on the 2nd week next month.

Any help? cry.gif

Silent mode? I guess u've misread my statements. I can receive calls, but i can't hear the caller's (person who's calling me) voice. Silent, quite, nothing at all.

Yup, i did restart my iPhone and also restore to the factory new set. I've took out the screen cover after i've bought the iPhone. I suspect its the hardware issues. Very unlucky, i guess sad.gif

Anyways, i've called the Apple Store hotline. They've submitted the report and gave me the reference number report. Tomoro i'll give a call to the telco store dealer that i've bought the iPhone itself. I wonder the report reference number itself is sufficient enough?

your case is quite rare since nobody experience it before this
the only possible to happen like that is having an iphone without taking out the screen cover in the first place.
but it seems like yours is a hardware failure.
have u sent it to warranty? can they provide a replacement set for u?

Tomoro National Day eve, stores are open for the day or not? hmm.gif

I've just called the QCD@Times Square. They offer to diagnose my issues within 7 working days, better than Celcom offer to diagnose within 30 days, which is insane.

If successful, i'm going to get 1 to 1 exchange. If not, touch wood, repairing? cry.gif

is there by any chance that your phone is in 'audio jack in' mode ? try connecting an ear piece and try. after that remove the ear piece and try again
