Weird.. The Hybrid Touareg is around 200k more than the non Hybrid.
*
380ps/ 580Nm vs 280/ 360Nm

difference 100ps & 220Nm

1ps = RM1k
1Nm = RM500

Not working for T&H, but have experience for non-reliable and reliable.
Always want to have peace of mind and spend more time with family rather than spend more time to worry, go to service center, broken down here and there or broken down in the middle of the road... waste valuable time.

Many AES, no point to waste $ to buy turbocharge while cannot speed fast. If want fast, then pay summon = burn $.

It is everyone choice...just sharing experience.
*
pjkl, do you own any VW? How sure you're VW cars are not reliable compare to T&H?
T owner will always have perception that T car is build for long lasting & peace of mind, but the sad case is T just recalled millions of cars with have problems.

Just want to clarify, i thought pre-reg cars are new cars? If new how can thr be such high mileage on them?
*
Pre-reg can be showroom car or demo car. Example, when Polo Sedan was launched few months back, they have more than 10 units driven accross the country for roadshow, this would be consider pre-reg car when VW sell it.
If go to take loan, bank will consider this as new car but with some mileage on it...

No, it is no longer new as in order to get a number plate and roadtax (to be road worthy so that it can be driven around instead of being driven on the back of a truck) it has to be registered. Therefore on the car registration card, the first owner would be VW Malaysia. It will be considered as secondhand by the bank when it sold to the buyer. Pre-Reg, Pre-owned, Pre-whatever are just terms used by the car manufacturers to hide the word "secondhand"....
*
Bank will offer pre-reg car same interest rate as new car, i think many of us here did get the same offer from VW

T last time car very lasting like Corolla SE / SEG.

but nowadays T not really. my neighbour beside got 2 vios, 1 is older version, 1 is just brought it last year.

the new car seldom use. maybe 2-3 times per week. his car been toll from home few times.... yes both vios. I ask why,

He reply 'both also kenot masuk gear'  rolleyes.gif

True story bro.

btw,

T servicing and spare part aint cheap. my altis 2004 full service is about 300 ringgit plus. 5k km only. w204 regular 12k service only 640 ringgit.  rolleyes.gif
TCO?
my altis 3 years ngam ngam then absorber leaking liao  rolleyes.gif  2.4k changing full sets.
my iswara 6 years leaking also only change 680 ringgit  rolleyes.gif

T sc - whole day waiting like madcow... no ppl serve no courtersy car.
merc sc - call them they come pick up ur car and after service and drive to your house / office
proton sc- whole day also but what u expect lowest range car  rolleyes.gif

no offence,
if you affraid of speed, high tech and safety then look for kereta lembu. safe, slow, low tech and also environment friendly
*since proton also upgrade to turbo, t also got hybrid so high tech stuff*
*
from all his post in LYN, he seems driving Civic and T & H seems like the godalike car to him/ her...

How bout gear box oil?
*
1.4 TSI is using dry clutch, so basically no need to top up DSG oil until you service your car

U mean the engine doesn't use any gear box oil?
*
it uses DSG oil, but very less compare to 6sp GTI gearbox.
7sp DSG use less than 2 liter compare to 6sp DSG 6-7 liter & generally don't required top up until your car is due to 15k service interval.

not recommended to coast on N with the DSG? or other gearbox?
so far my car (a proton) works fine and well.. even save me fuel when coasting in N..

since u drive in S or manual, but still need to replace by 40,000km? means sooner or later, it will fail somehow?
then not good la. .what if it fails right after 5 years warranty.. jialat lo

Any one with Golf/Jetta/CT with RCD310+MDI upgraded to those China RCD510 with USB cable? Does the MDI connector still work, or you have to use the USB cable instead, or both?
*
Most of the China Delphi RCD510 does not support MDI...
I'd changed mine & MDI cannot be used anymore, have to use USB cable or SD card
