Is the sound like spring sound? When you move in the car also can hear?
*
It could be spring sound, & SC said is absorber, but I think more like loosen tailpipe sound.
It sound like the tailpipe hitting something (klung klung) sound.

The sound only when crossing speed bump in low speed. Other time is OK...

Yes i think many car manufacturers are being let down by our local SC's. Pity since the car itself is quite good. Which SC is this btw?
*
I think the main reason of lousy SC is because they run by individual company. They're not directly under VW.
As ppl going back to SC is under warranty, SC cannot charge customers for the parts.
SC only can backcharge VW for the cost involved & definitely cannot overcharge VW for extra profit.
Keeping stock is extra cost for SC.

BTW, my SC is VW PJ (222)

Mine got sound also but more like spring..

When the car is stationary, when i get in or get out can hear like creaking sound coming from the springs..

Even if i like jump abit inside the car can hear it..
*
Try to pull ur handbrake harder, i heard this could eliminate the spring sound.
Spring sound is very common, almost all VW cars having same problem like u.

What are your instant FC (not average) readings during highway cruising for various VW models at say 110kmph and 160kmph? Has anybody tested?
*
it varies from 0.00l/100km to 10.00l/km, depends on going up hill, down hill... all depends how hard u step on the accelerator.

My Golf 1.4TSI recently blew its engine. Piston one and two both cracked and I think some valve damaged also. Car was below 30,000km. Fortunately for me the whole engine was replaced under warranty.

Any one out there who suffered the same problem?
*
what is the cause?

I am driving a scirocco and found water under the floor mat at front passenger foot rest area. Thought it was from air cond but didn't see water dripping after hours of driving. Thought from car wash but sent car for washing and requested them to focus with high jet water at the passenger door area. No visible water seeping through. Water somehow came from underneath becoz my floor mat is always dry. Appreciated if sifu can help
1) what causes this?
2) How to get rid of the water before it smells.. PRIORITY NO.1
*
this should able to prevent it smelling

without insurance, I get from VW website

VW golf - RM 148,888.00
VW Jetta - RM 149,888.00
*
now golf come with price tag of RM156k with sound & light package.
RM148,888 no longer available from any VW Malaysia, so Golf is more expensive than Jetta.

Hi guys! im new here lol. im getting the golf gti soon. i went to the showroom here in sabah and the SA told me there's no blue colour for the golf gti, the colour is only available for the Golf R. is this true? and whats the difference between the golf gti and the golf gti se? coz i dont see the gti se in the website.
*
GTI SE come with 18" Detroit & sun roof with same price tag as earlier GTI
I think non SE GTI no longer for sale?

The rising blue for Golf R only available for Scirocco, not available to Golf GTI.

may i know any discount offered or bargain you received from the salesperson? im interested in Golf TSI. of course wish to own GTI but too far away from my budget. is the maintenance high? i heard from a fren, 1 major will reach to RM4k for servicing?

silly question: what makes you guy wanna own a Golf ( for Golf owners )?

please tell me the pro and the cons?
*
Your friend must be jealous of you buying VW, if not he won't be lying to you.
Each service cost about RM400 only & service interval is 15k km. This is even cheaper than Japanese car.

Dunno these car price increase has got something to do with the tax reduction that is being discussed in the election.
*
Tax reduction wont make prices going up... VW is really playing around with the price. Earlier price at RM155,888 but free road tax & insurance. Less than a month price increase

Hmm but then again Golf MK7 is just about to launch - so unless they're in a major rush, why would anyone buy a Golf MK6 now?
*
u might need to wait at least 1 year to arrive Malaysia.

MK6 was launched in 2008, but 1.4 TSI only available in Malaysia from 2010 onwards. We're 2 yrs slower than others.

Where MK6 GTI is slightly earlier but still from 2009 onwards, so in general, we're slowpoke

Remember though that back then, VW was not as aggressive in the Malaysian market as it is now.

Look at the New Beetle - it took VW Malaysia a year (or maybe slightly less?) to bring it here.

So maybe - just maybe - we could see the Golf MK7 in Malaysia in late 2013 or early 2014.

Beetle was launched on April 18, 2011 Auto Shanghai Auto Show
