QUOTE(d4rkholeang3l @ Jul 20 2012, 04:11 PM) hi guys i have a problem right now.. press the AF/MF button above the D-joystick. maybe u toggled the AF/MF.hmm, I just recently got an UWA, tammy 11-18 to be exact. well, the problem is, the AF works on A55, but not on a700 . On a700, the screen keeps on show 'MF' although the focus mode select at the front shows S/A. anyone knows what going on? Normally lenses cant work on DSLT, now the other way round ? |

QUOTE(soket @ Jul 21 2012, 02:21 PM) sample yup. i very scare use tamron to shoot family potrait, the corner all will distort "very obviously" i rather use 1855 kit to shoot with less distort, and since family portrait is F8.is tis normal for tamron 17-50 2.8? the right side kinda softer than left side at wide open btw image is not resized, file size ~16mb and, yea, hence 1650 has its value. QUOTE(jimlim007 @ Jul 21 2012, 03:29 PM) 1. get well soon 2. great shot! first photo from you that has commercial standard! (tips: add in a tack more of contrast) 3. stick back with sony flash. if cant afford F58, then get F43 as long as u dont jump into big hall event, u are find with F43. QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Jul 21 2012, 09:01 PM) How many megapixels are your pictures? I use all 16mp but I realise that its taking too long to upload. 21 pictures 126.7MB. upload to?(FB auto resize before uploading, so... not bothered) QUOTE(d4rkholeang3l @ Jul 21 2012, 09:07 PM) Been awhile since I last shoot public events not sure your intention, its too warm to my liking. i still prefer pure white (balanced)Here's one from today's Fashion Show by Polo Haus ![]() For more images, please refer to the album. Fashion Show: Polo Haus C&C is much appreciated zstan: this is your first and also final warning, dont bully ppl!!! kakakakaka! QUOTE(moonwalk @ Jul 22 2012, 12:08 AM) About the last picture... I is purpose out focus it to get the dreamy effect under lightroom 4 postprocesing.. Mind to share about your idea? QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Jul 22 2012, 06:06 PM) It's okay bro. SOME people in this thread are abit rude I must admit. Just have to get used to it. But afterall it's just a photography forum right. No point getting angry and sad over comments. Just ignore comments you dont feel comfortable with. Hope that helps. i hope that SOMEONE is not me michael9413: your street 'begger' photo are... ermmm... errrr.... ahhh... i cant find the word for it...... and...... sadly, (assuming) you werent with the sony alpha convention 2011. there is this one street master (which i missed his talk too) were talking about "3 Later Deep" inception style photography... and i bet this will trigger back many of members here to the idealogy of street photography, as it seem, few of our senior member also slowly have this "3 Layer Deep" slowly forgotten. lets see anyone who attended the workshop would be nice enough to 'share' again what was taught in this 'street master' class. (i kinda forgot who taught this 3 Later Deep concept) evankeat, is that liew? |

QUOTE(moonwalk @ Jul 23 2012, 11:39 AM) @ Ed Paul. if you dont mind, i have some comments.I'm liking your personality and picture. I also observing this tread not this few month ago... in facts is 2 years ago. About your picture from 1 to 10 they all are awesome. I like your Conceptual Arts. Here are the picture same as you... just I still newbie during I shoots this photo ![]() Point of view of Conceptual Arts is like your personal "Brand". This image also not happen in few click and settle... Won't won any awards in professional judgement. so, I will refer back all my Conceptual Arts to my master Patrick Low. He friendly guy... now involve intensively in WPPM industrial. I kindda disappointed him in bring me to WPPM joint them.. I know where I stand... I not ready for any photography as my profession yet. Just, moderate. Here is the light painting with very low bajet. ![]() Back to Landscape, I have "Moderate HDR" which obviously not follow exactly what Trey Ratcliff spoons feed me over the video call system. Thanks him change my life with getting expensive "LEE filter,B+W 10 stop" Which accumulate RM1000+ for me. ![]() ![]() @william I no like you... no comment please. Added on July 23, 2012, 12:18 pm I bring Garry Friedman Visit Melaka, We exchanging more engineering lesson and shoot like a NASA people. We same passion in Studies,Hobbies and Music( He play Xaphoon I play professional Saxaphone) 1. your first photo, is underexposed, not sure its intentionally, or a mistake. it show neither day or night/dawn, hence it convey a half message, and imcomplete photo. 2. but then, many professional attain ARPS, RPS and/or Saloon certificate by submitting Conceptual Photo for their exam papers. Steve Chong (a local photographer who came out books, Ying Yang, Sigma endorsed photographer) famous landscape photographer (support local photographer please~ 3. normally, other photographer will just shoot your 'chinese chest conceptual art photo' (not sure it was conceptual art or u just wanna show 'light painting technique') its badly executed. seriously bad. there are countless mistake could be found (as exam are using deduction system). my comments are, i) try to fix the WB, your cool WB is not really portraying any emotion of 'intelligent in strategy' nor 'war-cry'... it felt sleepy. ii) you messy arrangement (some chess piece facing backwards sidewards etc, ) show weakness, it show a 'messy' management of a 'commander'... come'on even old man in the park arrange their chess piece nicely before play! and commander also can be refer as you, you did not put any effort to create a photo(or winning the war!). iii) light painting (i guess its a torchlight), are messy... here large spot, there small spot, making it, well, maybe, perfectly imperfect... or imperfectly perfect. whichever u prefer. it doesnt create any dramatic feel, as the purpose of 'lighting' in conception art. try putting more thought into a photography before shooting. it is exactly how other photographer like william or kysham will say, its just like a snapshot even my little girl can shoot better. 4) william is a great teacher, because he doesnt beat around the bush to get to the point. he may be harsh, but the harsher, the faster and stronger u grow. you said u dont like people pusing pusing or faking in commets... bear with him. if u meet him in real life, trust me, u cant stop laughing with him from the minute u meet till you say goodbye. 5) u never use Lee, u will Never understand. HDR is ugly to me. it not even 'reality' its a 'digital mumbojumbo crap'. getting the pure 'exposure' from manipulating exposure manually in a single exposure give u true endless satisfaction. and u dont need Lee to get those great photo. Taiwanese, are the PRO with 'black card techniques' with landscape black card cost 20cent only, unlike indonesian where heavily rely on GNDs filters (cokin/lee system), while the orang putih like to use 'digital' HDR(enhance a landscape digitally). but i will agree its personal preference on 'landscape' but digital enhance landscape is always a 'fake/tipu orang' piece of art. 6) i think we have meet before.... maybe not... QUOTE(jimlim007 @ Jul 23 2012, 05:14 PM) ieR: the sony auto flash is good but the price is really high too, is like 2xx yongnuo vs 7xx-1xxx sony. I am thinking will shoot manual can solve all possible cocnern in my current state skill when extended from macro to dinner shooting/wedding.... erm price is big issue, but i lazy explain here. u will know what you missing.. endless of feature.TTL WL, HSS, Multi, Zoom head, cobra etc etc etc etc. even F43 i think can get around 8xx in penang, my friend told me he was offered 830 in penang island (which i think its also far for u).... |

shoot manual is do-able. just, the key "reliable" of missing that moment, stand between that rm200YN vs RM1k Sony.
there are time where we do not want to think, just shoot, let our investment does all the thinking job. |

gouki, i know u want it...
and... wahhh since when who started the fire here? i was shooting galaxy timelapse when my phone so many mail notification... guys cool it off... give me some face leh... before the mod comes in and kick the both of you. William: you are very rude sometime... or all the time... lol, but only some of us who knows the real u, arent bother with your sarcasm... sooner later newbie also used to it... kakakaka.... but try be gentle a bit lerrr... moonwalk: if u are still lurking around... 1. using proper english is a form of Respect to other user. using broken english, although you have a proper english education, is disrespect to this english spoken forum. unless you have valid reason of you are not educated under english medium, that, is understandable. but your english got even the chineses guessing a while what you trying to tell. dont just type what come out from your heart... try to put urself in our shoe too 2. some people just wanted to see the world burn... people like william... and u know what, u just become what he wanted you to... his FUEL. you been fueling his burning desire to burn the world. fighting back is not bravery, laughing it off after a insult, is bravery. u could have easily just laugh it off at william's response... that might even break the ice in a good way (that how i did with william...) but you, you are even more sensitive then william, his every reply, u fuel in more fire back at him... and i know, he is laughing off there... 3. i wouldnt say who is senior who is junior. but wisdom counts over seniority. and i dont think u are junior either. u shoot for coming to 3 years, you mix with 'professional' (but it also fuel your ego, not sure you realizes it...) keep praising who who who... then telling some of us your 'theory' of photography, then asking for advise so u can learn, but once people said something that doesnt suit your ear, you just brush them off and plant your own views back to them. its contracting, and obvious. dont you think its funny how you manage to get over half of the people here trying to burn you down? did you even realize it? a example is Louis Pang, from sabah, an international WPPI judge, the first from asia to won 1st in many catagory, fastest raising WP,... but... lost much respect from western malaysia photographer when conducting workshops in west msia... because in his workshop, he keep praising JoeMcnally non stop, losing himself hidding in joe's shadow. but that was back many years ago. he slowly gain back his ground as WPPI Professional but rebuilding himself again. 4. now you turn your defense on them with the use of 'passion'... do you even know their level of passion in photography? even i feel you are a little kinda, offensive type here rather then humble... what i see is, you have passion to mix with pro then passion becoming a pro urself. professional is not mean earnin big money or fame with it.... being professional means well verse in knowledge in it. you have a long journey to go.... the main reason why your seniority wont give u any senior respect but treated like a junior even thou you shoot for almost 3 year and lurked here for whole 2 years, is simple. from your picture, your execution, your work, your effort in making the photo are just like a newbie, its no where near 2 years shooting experience... and your 3 years experience or mixing with pro has build up some of your ego, hence when ppl throw in bad comment, u take it too deeply into your heart. edpaul has only shoot for 2 month, maybe he is just naturally gifted, or he just cheat us he shoot for 2 month or actually 2 year or maybe 2 decade hehe.... but he at least, show his photo and simply quote my name, tells a story/lesson for each photo with wisdom msg in each photo. please stay around a little longer, even you are treated badly,... jimlim going through the same phase as you, but his perseverances to stay and hang around has earn him some respect from the people used to burn him... although sometime he really KEK SI REN with his funny question to us... you already gain my respect because you are the few ppl stood up against william... other usually walks away. |

QUOTE(jimlim007 @ Jul 24 2012, 09:43 AM) moonwalk: actually I do predicted the "clash" or "crash" to be happened as I read your and others replies. I just like to say everyone taste are different, perception are different, everything have 2 sided looks, as long as we love what we done the thing right in shooting. Just continue it since it can bring us happiness well... i do agree (sorry tomson) jim's english is a little worst and his question is damn hard to explain... and the worst, he never listens to any advise anyway... wakakakakaka... but we still love him here, without him, we bored sial liao....lol!p/s: i did not read thru all the content and just read your last replied seem to quit from here. |

QUOTE(shootkk @ Jul 30 2012, 09:27 AM) Decent?! You call the 35mm f1.4G bokeh as DECENT?!! Wah!! What will you call a good bokeh then? STF lens is not applicable.. LOL! i do think 35 bokeh is nice. i uses it.. on FF and crop, thou FF has a lot more kickThen again 35mm is not wide in my books. All my gear lust is gone for now. Haven't really had any decent shoots for a while now... blame partly on Diablo III and partly on a bad streak of luck in life. My son has just been recently discharged from hospital. The bill took away a Zeiss 24mm f2.0 SSM... |
