QUOTE(KaylaMeow @ Oct 7 2012, 03:37 PM) Help! I'm a total beginner in photography and I'm planning on to buy my first camera, I've done quite a lot of research and I've narrow my selection to these three but I can choose the final camera I want! A DSLT have no flipping mirror and an electronic view finder.Nikon d5100 Sony nex 5n Sony a57 Which one do you think is better? I'm going to college next year so im going to bring it to college a lot, will the a57 be inconvenient to carry around? Btw what's the difference between a dslr and dslt? Help me make my choice |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Oct 13 2012, 01:03 AM) oh wrong time to visit this thread. well, you can look around for a 2nd hand Minolta 17-35 f2.8-4 HEREif you really want to pair the a99 with a UWA.i baru thinking of getting A99 and I see the PROMO poster. decisions decisions decisions decisions Added on October 13, 2012, 1:05 amoh some of you may wonder why A99. It's the only Full Frame body with variable angle LCD. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Oct 13 2012, 11:30 AM) Oh thanks. Agak how much ah? ermm some threads i saw offered at 1.3k. that's really really cheap. maybe above 1.5k? still a loooooooooooooooot cheaper than the CZ16-35 but it also depends on your luck la whether you get mint lens or not.I still kumpul kumpul $$$$ la. Admittedly A99 seems to be highest on my list now. And no, I haven't read a single review. I saw one but it was tl;dr case. My opinion on A99 is entirely based on my experience at KLPF. ah well. you won't get the whole picture and the pleasure of using the EVF and tilt screen when the camera is mostly chained to the stand. |

Shot this yesterday for an event using a Sony a77 with the autofocus turned on and editted with windows movie maker. Seems like the quality had been degraded :/ Time to look for alternative video editors. The AF works very well at tracking the subjects but the downside is if i point at the background it will immediately defocus. It was also partly my fault that I didn't turn on the face detection mode (a feature which works remarkably well in EVF ). |

QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 22 2012, 10:31 AM) fansoption: Can go Plaza Rakyat STAR LRT mah. Or you wanted to take the photographic route? 18-55, 85 f2.8, 35mm would probably fall under SAM v2.. the v3 one would be 18-135mm. they are not the same.. at least in terms of their AF noise..Nice shot of the bicycle, it looks like it will be rusting due to the rain! MotionFlow: The Sony 35mm F1.8 DT SAM is even better. Sharper, wider, and focuses closer! Or if you find you like flowers, go for the Sony 30mm F2.8 DT SAM Macro. ieR: Er... got SAM v2? Which lenses have this? I would consider everything other than the 18-135mm as SAM v1, they all act the same. |

QUOTE(shootkk @ Nov 9 2012, 08:25 AM) QUOTE(albnok @ Nov 9 2012, 11:20 AM) I would propose all meeting up at McDonalds KL Sentral, eating there (so no qualms about halal or not) then we take the LRT to Pasar Seni (leave KL Sentral at 1:15pm) and walk to Jalan Sultan. We should eventually catch up with the group - either we will stumble into them along the way, or we will eventually meet them at Annexe Gallery. it doesnt really matter to new alpha users does it? Annexe Gallery is at the back of Pasar Seni. Added on November 9, 2012, 11:28 am You forgot the A100, A700, A900, A850, NEX series (except the EA50, FS100 and FS700), Konica Minolta 7D, Konica Minolta 5D, and so many other film bodies... http://www.mhohner.de/sony-minolta/bodies.php |
