hmm... how to make F43 be a receiver which is will fire together with softboxes? you mean f43 will only fire in wireless mode when pop up flash was used? anyway to make f43 attach on body, but when fire, f43 (hot shoe attached) or wireless (with pop up flash) will fire with other softboxes (which is transmitter use pc sync port -jackport)?  i notice when i was use manual pop up flash, it has 250 max. sync speed.

> I am assuming that you will have a transmitter attached on your camera now, you need to have the same type receiver you are using on the softbox attached on the F43 as well. another words, softbox got a receiver, F43 another receiver.

you mean f43 will only fire in wireless mode when pop up flash was used?

> pop up flash, sync cable "not wireless, but off-camera" (example), another F43 or F58 set as master and the wireless F43 set as slave.

> your softbox will need to use an optical trigger attached on the softbox, the spike of light from the main flash will fire the optical trigger which in turns fire the softbox.

No, unless your F43 has the same receiver that is attached to the softbox. Your F43 will only fire wirelessly via the Sony protocol if you have your pop up flash activated or have a master flash attached firing from your A57 (ie. F58, another F43)

William, your answer makes perfect sense. The pop-up flash wouldn't fire if a transmitter is attached to the camera hotshoe. Thanks.

how many of you are a regular reader of Digital Camera magazines?

actually i looking for a UV filter is because wan to give protection to my beloved lenses... i tried some cheap filter but problem come during a night shoot.. when got light reflection, those rainbow color dots will appeared.. hate it so much... can give me some recommendation? hate the bulky and alien looks hood as well  =P

A few more brands also can consider. Marumi, Tiffen & Sony's own T* Zeiss filters.... all these are pretty good.

Yes, chinese call it "1 sen of money is worth 1 sen of quality" (or something like that lah), meaning you pay for what you get. Except for some unscrupulous sellers who sell cheap filters at exorbitant prices.....

But having said that, it also depends on what lenses you want to put the filters on. If it is a relatively cheap lens (e.g. the SAL1855SAM kitlens), then you might not want to invest too much money on a filter, because if the lens is scratched, you probably can get a 2nd hand replacement lens for slightly more than a good quality filter. So the choice is really not entirely a straight forward decision. Of course, if you have a RM6000 lens, you will want to spend for some top quality filters to avoid damage to that expensive lens....

the impressive thing bout the photo is using UWA and middle of the street (busy street)... a killer composition that requires effort to grab (and tremendous luck not caught by police since UK every little corner is covered by CCTV) biggrin.gif

Time to spam, hehehe.... doing this at night. tongue.gif

I was asked to shoot a set of photos of some of the participants for the Zens Supermodel Search contestants as they visit the Honda Showroom because Honda is one of the sponsors for this event. I'm covering this for a local car magazine in Sabah, called Borneo Tuner.
