QUOTE(qqmeng @ Oct 10 2012, 11:00 AM) center stand?? errr.... my bike doesnt hv a center stand .... dont think i ll be strong enough even if its come with a center stand If you dont have the car jack, you can use timber block. Place it under the swing arm on the other side of the bike. Get someone help to lift the bike. With side stand down, turn your handle to most left. Hold handle with left hand and your right hand holding on right side pillion foot peg. Step on side stand and lift the bike using your right hand. And the other guy place the timber block. Got it? Lift up to just enough to spin the tyre for cleaning or lubricating your chain. Use cardboard when spraying the lube to keep your rim clean (place it between chain and rim). Im not responsible for any damage from the bike fall on this method I never put my bike on rear paddock stand alone. Will always get someone help to hold the bike Added on October 10, 2012, 6:24 pm QUOTE(crash123 @ Oct 10 2012, 10:53 AM) you are welcome. QUOTE(Damien?(: @ Oct 10 2012, 09:39 PM) thanks but my place doesnt even have a timber jack.. whats a pack jack? -.- sighhh lack of equipments check thisPackjack You can use anything solid block or 2-3 pieces of timber. Unless you want to buy Packjack Added on October 10, 2012, 11:11 pm QUOTE(kapalterbang_737 @ Oct 10 2012, 10:41 PM) nice tip, but it does sound like a lot of work.. But my size is maybe half than you. And my Vortex stand is damn heavy solid typei always put my bike on paddock stand alone, because the hook on the paddock is fixed, not moving like J-hook i got snapped a few days ago by AES nearby Kajang exit...that time i was on my bike cruising at around 220-230km/h, and suddenly a bright light flashing from left side of the road Is the saman amount is the same for normal speed trap? I didnt read the details. I hv here 2 tickets from speeding (also AES). Too fast until i didnt see the camera. Each will cost me 600. I was lucky when i jumped the red light once. Flashed but was not recorded in the system. Here, jumping red light will cost you 6000 This post has been edited by monaz: Oct 10 2012, 11:16 PM |

QUOTE(|Keantan| @ Oct 12 2012, 10:33 PM) Hey guys, I've got a Ducati to sell. Posted in Mudah.my already (PM for link, don't wanna upset mods here). I was wondering any other place to recommend selling? Why not just trade in if wanna upgrade to other bike? Sometimes very hard to find serious buyer. Good luck on yr sales bro Added on October 14, 2012, 12:56 pm QUOTE(mfcm @ Oct 12 2012, 12:31 PM) From which bike this exhaust was taken? QUOTE(T600 @ Oct 15 2012, 01:54 AM) Mine started since a few thousand kilometres ago, it vibrates a little whenever I slow down, first I look at my front tire part, pressures, even have the dealer took off the front tire and check for wheel alignment.. didn't fix. Actually it is more on suspension setup. Long ride also same to me. My wrist also problem. My FGK cartridge seems little hard but tweaking for perfect is a never end story for meThe next thing I am going to do is throttle body sync, sounds crazy but I think is the throttle body out of sync, it can produce vibration. Should check the rotor too.. |

QUOTE(sanosizo @ Oct 15 2012, 01:23 PM) some reasons for wobbly handlebar... For #8 u mean the T clamp? I already hv mine all to correct torque. What to do with that. Anything on the rebound setup!1. under inflated front tyre 2. front tyre tightened too much 3. front tyre uneven surface 4. front tyre not balanced properly 5. bar end not balanced 6. handlebar not attached evenly, probably just a slight to the left/right 7. bent handlebar 8. caused by top box that's what I can think of at the moment. wobbled handlebars normally could be felt when cruising around 60-80kmh. when we go faster, we think the wobble has gone but actually it wobbles too fast that we don't feel it, not until when our hands feel tired or numb. |

QUOTE(T600 @ Oct 15 2012, 03:33 PM) It's not What tire you use now? I just got a call from local dealer. They received few new stocks for S20 and only 190/50 for rear. No 190/55. I cannot wait even more to get 003RS or Q2 from online store. I saw you knee dragging to Genting |

QUOTE(junbecks @ Oct 15 2012, 04:16 PM) kinda having the same thing with the bike. I think it is normal for touring typeEr6F. thinking it needs balancing. tyres used for around 10,000 already Added on October 15, 2012, 6:01 pm QUOTE(T600 @ Oct 15 2012, 04:43 PM) S20 is great, I think for R1 you need to use 190/55 rear.. But one of my friend complaint and said the S20 wear out fast, maybe due to his riding style. I checked again. They hv only 180 for 55. I need more contact patch. Dont tell me you ride like granma la bro.. I actually wanted to try the Q2 so bad, if you ask me I would say go for it. No way, I don't have balls to do it on the streets This post has been edited by monaz: Oct 15 2012, 06:01 PM |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 16 2012, 08:55 AM) i used to follow the factory / manufacturer recommended tyre pressure And must be set at cold pressure my mechanic advised otherwise. maintain a pressure of 30 - 32 psi front / back and u should feel less vibrations and better ride comfort he reasoned we are not as heavy as orang puteh (avg 75-80kg), and most of the time, the recommended pressure takes into account a pillion rider (an additional 75-80kg) Added on October 16, 2012, 1:07 pm QUOTE(razr_sped @ Oct 16 2012, 08:31 AM) yea..update uo...not jus jap bikes...conti stuff too I did even when riding at night. Got new BT S20 fitted yesterday and try out few miles this morning. Of course new tire feel better grip but also quicker acceleration.
A little lower for 190/50 rear and little less contact patch in cornering but gripping feel still great. Need 100 miles 'break in' before next week TD during Eid. Will see how it impress me on track ![]() |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 19 2012, 04:21 PM) how much is the tyre in doha? I paid equivalent to RM1500 including installation and balancingand update us how many miles u can do with that tyre before it wears out Added on October 20, 2012, 12:43 pm QUOTE(K5WHITE @ Oct 19 2012, 04:54 PM) I use Starlane on my bike. Take note that if you use for track, cant rely on it because if you are on high speed and shifting down from 6 to 2 into corner, it always like giving 'gila' indication. Added on October 20, 2012, 12:44 pm QUOTE(T600 @ Oct 19 2012, 07:41 PM) I saw your quote of the day about dumping the money on bike but.... Added on October 20, 2012, 12:49 pmI just want to share with what i got from Bridgestone about tire pressure. Hope this will help. Copy paste from my email Good Morning, I’m new to Bridgestone S20 for motorcycle. What are the recommended cold tire pressure for track and street use for details below; Tire: 120/70/17 Front & 190/50/17 Rear Bike: 2006 Yamaha YZF R1 My weight without riding gear: 58kg Also, what is the recommended temperature for pre-heat using tire warmer for track use. Appreciate your prompt reply. Best Regards Dear Mr. Thank you very much for your enquiry regarding our motorcycle tyre products. Also please accept my apologies for the late reply. My name is Hisao Suganuma and I am in charge of field engineering at Bridgestone. Then, regarding the pressure for S20 of your vehicle; 1) At street: Please follow the your vehicle manual, I believe it'll be 250kpa for front and 290kpa for rear at COLD but please confirm this with your vehicle manual. 2) At circuit: Basically, same pressure setting at cold as street use but you may reduce it by max. of 20kpa for both front and rear depending on the hanling. But please keep in mind this is only for circuit use. For street use, please follow your vehicle manual from the safety point of view. Hope this information could useful for you to understand our tyres. Best regards, Hisao Suganuma Added on October 20, 2012, 1:05 pm QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 19 2012, 05:12 PM) acumen gear indicator I'm not sure if it might void the warranty because it is only an add on by tapping to bike harness. And you can always hide it when parking to avoid being stolen.around rm400. i was planning to install one too, but afraid it might void my bike warranty another version is with voltage indicator, which is slightly more expensive facebook: dcbikers, omar kassim, Ferno: http://er6.my-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=5231&mforum=er6 edit: there's a cheap rm200 gear indicator: http://er6.my-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=6321&mforum=er6 I DIY the installation. Just need the service manual to locate certain wires and after, do the 'gear teaching'. You may need rear paddock stand or can do it on long straight street. This because you need higher RPM on setting it. This post has been edited by monaz: Oct 20 2012, 01:05 PM |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 20 2012, 02:01 PM) low maintenance = 6f Hard Racing is selling around USD100. more fun = z8 but both are totally diff category. one is a naked bike, the other is a sort of sport / touring type why not get both? Added on October 20, 2012, 2:02 pm i haven't seen a starlane locally before. how are they if compared to acumen? and more importantly, how much is it? Im not sure about Acumen but Starlane c/w shift light and auto dimmer. So you can hv 2 shift light setting (1 on your speedo) I guess Z800 shall be more tasteful to ride. For any bike, I normally google for ‘problem’ instead of review |

QUOTE(kapalterbang_737 @ Oct 24 2012, 01:02 PM) Got into mishap last saturday, i was riding up to Genting with my buddies when 1 of them suddenly straighten his bike into corner (1st time going up Genting with bike) and fall in front of me Take rest and GWS bro. Dont worry about the bike. It is just fairing parts that you can replacedI grabbed the front brake (shouldn't do that, i was panic) too hard because all i want is to avoid him and that's when the bike throw me and started to high side however the right tail section hit the divider and forced the bike to fall on the left side i had a broken left collarbone and a few bruises on my left knee..other than that i'm okay..really glad i wore protective gears (except knee pad) CAUTION : Heartbraking pictars inside |

QUOTE(T600 @ Oct 24 2012, 08:01 PM) Thanks god you are okay, I seen your bike it is not that bad I should say, the exhaust can repair or not? RM800 for plug and labor? Damn farking crazy man. I changed once before so i know how to make it easy way now.BTW check this site, I ordered some parts from this site and it took 2-3 weeks to arrive, shipping fee is just a mere USD35 I recall.. with live chat somemore, so you can ask if you wasn't sure what you need.. If not mistaken, yours are 2004 model, just an OEM tail can cost you as much as RM700.00... Plus the shipping cost all together will still be cheaper than order locally, example the NGK spark plugs, local dealer wanted RM800 from me + labor cost to replace all four sparkplugs, if I order from this site it will cost around USD40 (RM122?) only for 4 pcs, either install it yourself or pay maybe RM200 labor to have a shop install it for you.. yeah for Yamaha YZF-R1 it is a pain in the ass to swap the spark plugs http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/searc...OVER/parts.html I remember you hv AIS block off plate. Much easier if already AIS removed and installed. If you yet to, better give it as charity to me There are online used part. Even can be found in ebay. They selling with parts full detailed photo for what ever defects, so you can decide. I saw before assorted colour of fairing with little damaged and cant really seen. Others like switches, sub frame and so on... The exhaust can change with full system now |

QUOTE(T600 @ Oct 24 2012, 09:39 PM) I haven't install the block off plates yet, my catalytic converter is still attached, I am worried that the unburn fuel can causes problems to the exhaust system, I haven't do the mid-pipe and I'll really don't want a fuel controller, all I can find out from other owners is that it drinks fuel. No, I didnt change the ignition coil. Only the spark plugs and can say no different after.Last time I just mod the air box, cut the funnel that narrowed the hole, I cut the funnel to open it up a little and make it less retrictive, and increase the intake noise a little Hey do you also replace all four ignition coils? you swapped all four plugs do you notice any different? My PC now also problem. When throttle is open, the light on the PC doesnt move. Stay at bottom. My friend reset it but still the same. I need to borrow windows laptop to slowly find the problem No need all those electronic thinggy unless you ride on track frequently. I just hope on my new tire to improve my personal best time at Losail Circuit coming Saturday TD |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 24 2012, 11:06 PM) another bike crash picture in the k bikers thread. a 2010 zx10r i presume. where is the link?damn... a few k gone just for track day fun Added on October 25, 2012, 12:59 am QUOTE(T600 @ Oct 24 2012, 11:03 PM) But how the bike ran? is the PC doesn't work the way it should? I still wonder the right cold pressure to apply. I feel something wrong in the Bridgestone email to me I also heard about the Flash Tune, I am regretted I didn't send my ECU to them, because they can tune it according to your mods, you will just need to tell them your current mods (air filter, gutted cat, slip-ons) and they will tune your ECU according to your mods, but they didn't support the pre-07 R1s.. If you have your ECU tuned to your mods, you will no longer need a fuel controllers S20's grip are awesome at full lean.. very sticky, worked great in the rain too.. I gonna swap all ignition coils and spark plugs, I think I have intermittent coils failure, because when the engine running my license plate led lamp start flickering (very slightly), and when I rev the bike in neutral the dash light gone dim aswell, just my guess because a bad ignition coil can draw so much current.. FT are expensive. I think around USD500 when i checked before. Can get bazaaz with that price. Unlike ECU, piggy back can be removed in worse case and leave the bike running stock This post has been edited by monaz: Oct 25 2012, 01:13 AM |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Oct 25 2012, 01:31 PM) Ok thanks. The same bike on youtube at post #2144 right?Sorry to say but he deserved it because from his own mistake. He try to lean at very 1st turn, just after coming out from pit lane. Tire for sure very cold and he cracked throttle wide Even he cut through lane when egress from pit. Too eager to go but too late now. In case happened to some others here, remember... don't try to start your bike after you down without checking your bike. You are in track so just ask marshall to tow back to pit. Check all damage on bike like handle, rear set, lever etc bla bla...see any oil or coolant leaking from hoses or side. Cool down the engine. Let the engine oil settle down. Check the oil level. Check also overflow hose for petrol from tank. Clean it and clean all debris from the bike. Then only run the engine. During this, check again for any leak. Heard any unusual sound? any smoke? Try ride it in short distance. How the bike handling? If everything is ok, then only ride it to nearest dealer for further check. Or you can just continue few more laps on track if you very well sure that the bike is ok. Im not rich like you other guys but this not like EX5 or Kriss bike bro where you can just simply change with another new |
