Testing my new S20 on track day yesterday. I'm pushing hard but still superb gripping like glue. Took few laps for best pressure setup and lastly running great at 27f/25R at hot.

This is after 17 laps sweat.gif

I do less than 200km since fitted 2 weeks ago and need to ask how many more laps can do before i need a new pair cry.gif

Guys, it’s difficult if your bike are sandwiched at the parking or on a little steep slope. Push the bike from front. Grab both handles, use your tummy and lean a bit on the bike, push the bike backwards. U will get better control and easy maneuver your bike straight, left or right. Keep the side stand down when doing this.

Reports seem vague. But I figured along the lines where the CRV exited Subang toward the highway, Damansara bound. CRV driver, a 39 year old lady - must have jet her vehicle all the way to the far right lane. Why did she not see the convoy, listing down possible causes since everyone is tight lipped about the incident as it involved high profile people:

CRV driver point of view:
1. Didnt check side and rear view mirror, before changing lanes - obviously!
2. Distraction - mobile phone, make up, adjust clothes and etc
3. Intoxicated
4. Another biker hater**
5. Suicidal attempt**

Bikers point of view:
1. Not within speed limit
2. Riding group formation too close to comfort
3. Faulty brakes

Note: Remarks marked ** is meant for discussion only, no pun intended.

Condolences and well wishing speedy recovery those involved in the accident.
*
IMO, obliviously the CRV is the root cause in this incident.

But on the other side and by your experience, what you think the most unsafe they did in that group? Did the Marshall really playing his role guiding the group in the safest move or by riders individual mistake?
Also, your opinion about the group we can see in youtube dragging their knees up and down Cameron, Kuala Klawang, Genting, kampung road etc. They did even in rainy day. Hard core and dangerous not only to them but most important to other road user.
Im just few years in superbiking and just about to be track junkies. Just a small error on track can bring me to grass or gravel and from there, I feel very unsafe to be on road with that kind of riding/mentality/ attitude.

I cannot brain this shakehead.gif

Not yet, it is a quick fix actually but since my family doesn't really like me to ride a bike (what more a superbike) so i just let the bike to be as is right now...especially my wife...if she caught me lurking around ebay for parts then i'll have to face a 30 minutes lecture  sweat.gif

I guess I am one of the luckier lots where my wife would not give me an earful. Only problem I have is to find time to ride her - been more than a month and she is still 800kms..

Folks - since you guys have been doing videography and all, am contemplating to get a Hero3 silver and black. Black to be mounted for cockpit view where focus on tacho, speedo and view whats ahead. Silver to be used for other non cockpit view angles. Question is, can you folks share exactly where to mount the mounting points - not specific to bikes, but advise what I should be looking out for. I am a total noob in this.
*
Hero - Hero2 - Hero3 – the different is the upgrade version of each model. The latter is the newer with higher specs.

I will not pay more to get Hero 3 when I can capture good video with Hero 2 or even Hero. Post editing will do the tricks.

Camera more or less is the same. Actually, what you need basically is just the camera body and accessories that suitable to use with what you intend to do.

Like Hero 2 that im using, it is a motorsport edition. Came with casing, suction cup and few flat/curved mount. I bought another packet of 5 mounting plate to put at various spot on my bike so I can record/view my ass, my face, front view, tacho view, rear view, undertail view, knee dragging…. Just name it where. Put the camera into the casing and hooked it to the mounting plate. Voila…
Mounting plates are mounted using very sticky 3M adhesive tape. So, it is easy to have extra mount instead of keep unmount the single plate.

For non bike specific, there is optional removable mounting accessories to suits what you like e.g. helmet mount, handle bar or even your body mount.

3) 2005 CBR1000RR/R 3AC Honda Motorcycle Parts

4) 2005 CBR1000RR AC Honda Motorcycle Parts

5) 2005 CBR1000RR-R 2A Honda Motorcycle Parts

6) 2005 CBR1000RR-R 3AC Honda Motorcycle Parts

No idea for Honda but for Yamaha, normally it is something related to regional or edition code like Asian, Europe or LE, SE etc..

I involved in accident at Losail Circuit last Saturday TD. It was at turn 2 apex (left turn about 100kmh) when I try to pass 2 newbie (newbie will have to ride with reflective arm band as indicator) when suddenly 1 of them crossed immediately from outer side just before the apex. I was about to lean down and could not avoid hitting his rear side. He managed to get controlled and back to pit.

Hit hard asphalt with my right shoulder and rolling few times till the gravel. Visor was flown off. Scratched my helmet and suit. Bike was considered ok, fairing stay broken, scratches on side fairing, brake lever, CF engine cover, a little on tail and 1 broken parts. Others are ok since im having full slide protector on my bike. Started working on bike yesterday. Managed to source fairing stay locally, change my Titax lever with spare unit and asked Motovation for replacement parts. Most important, im recovering fast from shocked high fever. Total damaged on bike is less than usd1k.

Feel bad because my family was here for holiday and were at circuit to see me doing the best. Lesson learned, make use of race fairing and beware of newbie on track sad.gif

Yeah, crashed with my OEM fairing. I hv complete race fairing set (not cheap biggrin.gif ) with complete D ring quick fastener and a transport trailer but still being a lazy ass to switch between OEM for a single track day. Will wait till next summer for paint touch up on my OEM fairing. I’ll take some photo on next weekend ride. Mysteriously, it was not recorded on my gopro. Im very sure i switched it on before i left the pit sweat.gif

ouchhh, looks like we crashed because of the same reasons (newbie rider) but different location
glad u're ok since u have full protection on

Luckily u can source stuff locally, i had to buy stuff all the way from US and sent it to my friend's place since those seller won't ship outside US
will ship all parts in one go but still haven't buy all the stuff that i need..i bet the shipping cost would be a bomb but that's the only option i could see..total cost estimate gonna be close to usd2k....and it's all 2nd hand parts  sweat.gif
*
But i saw mostly seller in ebay shipped internationally. Same problem when i purchased few bolts from ebay. I could not check out because of shipping address. I inform the seller and he send me invoice via paypal. You can opt for delivery to your paypal address. Guess from where all those online seller in Malaysia get their stuff? Mostly US biggrin.gif

are u referring to the 795 or 796?

the 796 price range is wayy beyond the z8

the 795 is the thai CKD, which hovers around 60k, and has double rear swingarm, rather than the sexy single swingarm found on almost all duakati bikes including the 796
*
IMO, 2007 Monster S4RS is all time favorite in Monster line up. I dont know the price now for used bike. Value for money in terms of look, specification and power. 795 or 796 is just for name, esp when without 'S'. Otherwise, go for Japs bike smile.gif

Might change signal indicator as well. Factory default signal always swinging/flapping like hell.

As I said, the older 2007 S4RS looks much better. The only best for naked is SF 1098S.
70k-80k I will go only for Daytona 675R. I still prefer 2012 model with undertail pipe. Grab it fast biggrin.gif

After some thinking, this you should do:

find an open area without traffic. Wear your complete protection. Do some braking check from lower speed and increase gradually. Learn how the brake works on your bike, making yourself familiar the condition on how you should apply brake. Do both with front and rear brake again and again.

Then, send your bike to authorized service center. Ask them if you need bleeding on your brake or else just tell them to bleed it. DO NOT bleed your self unless you are very sure on how to DIY. Again, go to open area and do the same above. Check if any different.

OEM brakes are designed considering the performance of the particular bike production. Aftermarket brakes only improving performance. Btw, I used HEL steel brake line with EBC pad on stock 2 pot callipers and stock master cylinder. Always dreaming to have ceramic rotor biggrin.gif

Its quite long ago since i was here. Hope you guys are doing good. Congrats to our friend for the VRod.

I saw more bikers down lately. And the worse, the most talk about Youtube video about stunt wheelie on highway. Only 2 or 3 with full riding gear but others are just happy with their only shirt.

I hope none of us in that group. Im sorry because i really against that ethic. There are always more better way to die.

Safe ride thumbup.gif
