u know what, im not sure whether to bring back a superbike, or a supercar hmm.gif

to be honest, i fancy superbike more now laugh.gif at least its still within my affordability range like my dream S1000RR which cost around US$15k here, bring it back to malaysia with 10% import tax (can anyone confirm this figure?) and free AP + shipping let's say US$18k-US$20k ~ RM60k.. still worth comparing to malaysia >RM100k whistling.gif

and if i would bring back a car, it would be the Cadillac Escalade tongue.gif quite rare in msia i suppose... never seen one in malaysia but my place was flooded with escalades.. not a supercar but i like SUVs drool.gif

The naked monster is high with torque, light and you will really enjoy twisties. In straight, u’ll be smoked.
If R6 is around 78k, 675R is the best contender you must consider too. At least 675R come with package of a performance parts.

Im not sure about ER6F/N parts but for superbikes, many used parts available globally.
Just google for wrecked or salvaged motorcycle parts and you can found variety of choice and even with the same color of your bike. Go find seller that detailed the exact condition along with photo of the parts before you choose any.
Even in ebay also you can found all used parts. Otherwise, major online accessories store are selling brand new OEM parts. Open the fiche site to see but of course will be much expensive

Forget it if want to go for insurance but for others who look for alternative, you guy should check it

The same I wanted to ask. The slider seems a little backward in position and was not mounted to the chassis/frame.
You can imagine when you low slide. The slider should be the most outer parts.

does anyone know where to find bitubo damper in kl?

i was quoted for toby damper..but never heard of this brand...after do some googling, managed to find out that toby used to supply damper for motogp..

any review from toby users are much appreciated
*
I’ve seen few bikes here using bitubo (front and rear shocks) but never see toby damper before.

Like others, some prefer Brembo for brakes, rotor etc on their bike while some other would go for high end like Beringer.

Things to consider is after sales service you might need. Expensive aftermarket parts like Ohlins always have their parts available like seal espcially, replacement spring etc.
If not mistaken, there is authorized Ohlins service centre in KL where you can send your parts for interval service like damper or shocks & suspension. Otherwise like other brands, you may need to send to authorized centre overseas which will cost you money and time.

And for damper setup, you can only set it up during track day where you will go round and round trying to get the best setup. Single track day sometime will not enough because it need together with both front and rear suspension setup.

This is only my opinion. At the end, you can always check the review and decide yourself for aftermarket parts that you like.

i've been there already...asking about ohlin damper, sadly, the guy there said ohlin does not produce damper for my model duc monster 795..he was the one suggested to go for toby instead...

currently, in dilemma..try looking for bitubo damper, but cant find one in kl...

Check with other guys with same bike like you or online forum. Damper like Ohlins would cost around USD400-500 nowadays.

But if it is really a cosmetic matter, better save for Termi slips on or even a full system. Make the sounds and power more happening biggrin.gif

Good luck bro

excuse myself for lack of technical knowledge on bikes.. still learning laugh.gif

just wanna check.. let's say u mod ur exhaust system to a slip-on aftermarket exhaust like Two-Brothers, so what i understand is due to that when u change ur exhaust to an aftermarket slip on especially those good ones like two brothers, akrapovic, yoshimura and so on.. it will tend to increase ur horsepower by 1 or 2hp more..

is it actually necessary to map ur bike with a power commander so as that ur bike will allow smoother fuel adjustment and maximise the use of ur newly slipped on exhaust system?

or is it advisable to install a power commander for it?

pls advise, thinking of replacing my current leo-vince slip on which is already attached when i got my bike with probably a two-brothers biggrin.gif
*
Leo Vince - U already have among the best aftermarket exhaust esp the SBK series. rclxms.gif

Slips on doesn’t do much on gaining horsepower. Restriction on the exhaust system (like EXUP servo on R1) must be eliminated. That’s why full system is required. Removing stock exhaust system may trigger check engine light depending on your bike model. Check carefully your bike system.

ECU need to read what you have on your bike. You MUST have like Bazzaz or Dynojet. Get the correct map or even better a custom map and check on dyno how much your hp increased.
If I were you, check if you can get the LV header for the exhaust, replace the stock header, re-use your slips on, get aftermarket filter then get PC or Bazzaz. An additional, dump in velocity stacks. Im not skeptical but should be around 5hp. sweat.gif

If you prefer that Two Brothers, they come with Juice Box as an option. For me, 1 time invest on full system will make you happy all the time. LV or Akra for me.
Happy modding bro. biggrin.gif

in addition to icecold question, i too would like to know from sifu here who has replaced their stock exhaust a very important question

How BAD (or IMPROVED?) is your fuel consumption after replacing the stock exhaust? I noticed that apart from better and louder noise (duh!) and horse power increment (due to unrestricted flow) and also weight saving, some people complained about worsening FC. is this true? makes me think twice to replace my stock, yet silent  wub.gif exhaust
*
Bro Lucifah.. fuel consumption shall not be the issue to think about in getting more ummph of your bike. Im sorry but this is my answer. Maybe others can help.
My full tank 18 liter petrol will only go below 200km distance. I just really want to enjoy on what I did on my lovely machine.

Safe ride always bro biggrin.gif

im not too sure whether my current LV is the SBK series or not.. it does sounds good, but a lil bit too quiet for an aftermarket exhaust sweat.gif

LOUD PIPES SAVES LIVES

what do u mean by checking the bike system? whether how digital is it?

header means the one that usually comes with the full system? any markets out there actually selling headers only? hahaha.. darn u make me itchy wanna try full system.. but one thing im worried about here is that the competency of the mechanics here.. in which how competent are they to actually mod a full system on my bike, and map my bike on a dynojet PC rclxub.gif

maybe can get my contacts from thailand and get them mod it for me thumbup.gif or just drive down to the nearest cambodia-thailand border (cant rmb which border my thai fren is located at d laugh.gif )

Akra.. every bikers dream exhaust i could say haha.. its nice to own one too but saw it online only a Akra slip on cost about US$700++ doh.gif full system akra US$2000++ holy mother of god!!

on fuel consumption, after u install slip-on, it does affect the FC, thus the PC is best to be paired and it can helps improving the FC coz u get to do some fuel adjustment on the PC.. correct me if im wrong tongue.gif
*
Like Yamaha R1/R6, the servo on the exhaust is connected to ECU. Once removed, you need to fool the ECU about the missing servo, thus necessary to install servo eliminator plug or DIY if you can. On your bike, check the service manual on parts that you going to dismantle in removing stock exhaust.

Yeah header normally come in full set of exhaust system. Just check if you can find header section of your bike model but as you said, Loud Pipes Saves Lives, get that full system.

PC setup need no competent mechanics. It is designed bikers friendly. Just download the necessary map, connect your laptop, upload the map and voila..
If you cannot find the required map with what you have, you can always send them email with details of your mod and they will provide you the nearest suitable map.

Unless you are thinking about adjusting your fuel curve, individual cylinder adjustment or setting the throttle position, u need pro tuner to do this.
Check your cans if the silencer removed or not. I removed both cool.gif

I heard you only need to retune if you change the whole exhaust because the flow is now totally different from stock.

loud pipes can save lives, but I'm not sure if it can save your bike from angry neighbours.

Absolutely. Still restriction unless going full system. And wait for your neighbor HD sounds

oh never know that PC is so easy to map haha.. problem is with the competency in installing full system.. i dont wanna risk my bike blowing up half way laugh.gif the downside here in cambodia is that lack of professional mechanics.. whoever has friend that is bike savvy can consider coming here to set up a professional workshop thumbup.gif number of sportsbike and harleys are growing here.. although not as much as msia but can see the increasing numbers of big bikes here..

maybe i shud check whether my silencer is removed or not brows.gif will get the full system is butt itchy..

by the way bro monaz, for the header, is it necessary that i get back a LV header to pair it with my LV slip-on?
*
Necessary if you want to full utilize the map for a set of exhaust system. Different header with different mid pipe and end canister? shakehead.gif

If you buy a full system for a specific bike, normally not much chaos for installation. Normally no mounting bracket modification. As easy as slips on. Only need tools like torque wrench with long extension, spring puller and some other basic tools

Yes you need to re-tune your bike once the catalytic converter has been removed, Y pipe is basically a free flowing exhaust...

You can install the Y pipe and still ride your bike but it will run like crap lol, and lean! for long term it will cause engine damage..

Remove the catalytic converter? hell yeah!  thumbup.gif

Because they have few joints in 1 system. And it is hard to install a single length of bended exhaust system without a joint. Not to say about welding or clamping in very tight area between the bike chassis.

For Bridestone, I believe 003rs is the best average for sports bike as what I seen but for others, it depends on the road condition and weather at your place.
Also your riding style, don’t forget the speed you go for your bike. My most concern, gripping power during track day and daily ride. So, multi compound is the choice.

I heard ppl saying about keeping the maximum pressure if you use for daily ride to prevent from ‘squared’ tire shapes. Don’t know how true it is and whether it is a cold or hot pressure setting to keep with.
At least Battlax is cheaper than Supercorsa. sweat.gif

Just my 2 cents biggrin.gif

k=2000 thus k8 = bike manufactured in 2008, doesn't matter how many cc, at least that's what I understand. because my bike (650cc) was manufactured 2008 and in the manual the code name was k8. but it's commonly used for 1 liter models only.

It is possible to hand carry your helmet but it must be hidden from the officers.
*
Just keep it in the bag. Don’t think so will be any problem. Other than laptop bag, they normally will not bother. Once transit at HKG. Yeah, they asked me to take out everything from the hand carry after the x-ray. But still it was a random check. My always worry is about our own custom officer at exit. sweat.gif

2nd, congrats on the suit. It looks damn good on you.

3rd, you gotta buy me a drink after this.

Step 1: Use one end of the jacket with the zipper stub

Step 2: Make sure the pant's connecting zippers are aligned like below

Step 3: Slide the jacket stub in between the pant's connecting zippers. Take note that it should look like the below

Step 4: Zip it all the way.

Once you get use to it, you can do it by yourself. No need extra help from others.

Its hot provided if you wear them with the wind proof liner and you are not moving. When on the move, you could feel the jacket is well vented. When I wear this jacket, I always wear a base layer. So not much of an issue for me in this tropical climate.
