Yes, I think my monk died many times before able to complete the missions. Previously I'm using demon hunter and switch to monk.
So means I need to enhance my gear with more resistance elements? Is the current armor allright?

with dps 30k and hp 25k+ and resist 750+ ( unbuff )

41k dps and 31k hp ( buffed )

hardly survive against some elite on act 3 inferno under solo mode... so pain and hp so long....

It's actually "% Damage dealt converted to Life", so ya, including AoE. Not to be picky in the calculation but:

300k LS at 3% in Inferno = 300k * 3% * 20% = 1800 life.

my normal hits are in the 100k's, crits in the 200-300k range. how about that? (then again i have 0 LS and 0 LoH)

no one limits you to have only 3% LS, no one limits you to have ONLY LS and not a combination of LoH (to deal with non crits) and LS (when you're critting) together.

with 5.90 LS i  always on sweeping vs mobbing and can more mob > better heal and my strategies is when almost die use 7ss to recover hp sometime can recover hp to full if crit. LS work better with high dps so if u got lower dps consider getting loh for better heal.

Well..actually you can Aleune...100k consistently is achievable nowadays....just go glass cannon ....I.e stack the highest DPS weapon with max dex and from Buffs...

BoH and MoC together (for 3 sec) gives 63% additional damage without any crits. So imagine a 1.2k mace with 2500 dex...with WOThF... me thinks its possible

Yes LoH is more direct..IMHO for a monk its not ideal. For the simple reason you need to hit a mob to regain the life, whereas my monk has sweeping wind which does not proc LoH, but still gives me LS. Dont you think the cyclone is wasted when it hits doesnt proc LoH. For me LS is better in the sense that once I get enough cyclones up...doesnt matter if the cyclones are hitting for 10k only as each hits would grant me 60 life return and that is not taking into considration that the damage I am whacking out. Its more effective in that sense...

facts (which i have said before and i am saying again):
- LS does NOT rely on crit. it only relies in you doing more damage. if you rely on crits to do damage, the problem is you, NOT LS
- LS scales better
- LS consistency depends on you. you can have default 5% crit chance (lowest one can have as a monk) to almost never crit, if you demand for consistency so much
- LS have WAY better AoE co-efficiency
- LoH AoE co-efficiency depends on a static skill based co-efficiency
- LoH cannot scale by itself; it relies on stats such as IAS to scale.
- who's to say you cannot have both LS and LoH?

TLDR (again, as it seems to have trouble getting it):
-if you want LS to perform, do more dmg.
- krip's video is outdated, however STILL hold valid pointers (namely the math behind everything, why LS or LoH etc)
- i don't have either LS or LoH, so don't even begin to call me out on picking sides ROFL

#Aleune - When I said LS doesnt need to be hit..it meant secondary damage dealers like cyclone..which once proac..you just let it run its course. Of course LS you still have to do damage to gain the life back thus you still need to "hit" mobs but you can do it various ways. LoH is constant hitting...i.e you must hit with your mouse pointer to get the loH, thus in situation when in CC, LoH is pretty useless, but LS still works=wind+cyclone. I hope you get it...

Do you guys face the problem of spirit not regen fast enough? the mobs all KO in 1-2 hit hard to gain back the spirit without any spirit generation gear.

not only solo, coop with high dps buddy also had such problem.
