QUOTE(duabijitelur @ Jul 28 2012, 08:37 PM) wa so geng... I would suggest that you use wifi to transmit/boost the Internet signal ( assume the wifi signal can reach from 3rd floor to 1st floor ) and use the homeplug for the iptv cos most endpoints like laptops, tablets & smartphones hv wifi whereas the IPTV box only uses Ethernet port only...btw i tried this method 3rd floor, STB -router - homeplug 1st floor, homeplug - laptop internet works... but hypptv cant work D: To run both the Internet & iptv signal on the single ethernet cable are to use unused pins on the ethernet cables.. This is done commonly by wiring people to have 2 LAN access on a single ethernet cables... but can only be done for 100BaseT / FastEthernet and NOT for 1000BaseT / Gigabit Ethernet ... The adapter shown is really handy instead of doing a DIY splitter on both ends of the cables... |

QUOTE(jolmy @ Jul 29 2012, 03:43 PM) Go for 10Mbps if you have like at least 4 or 5 people using. Otherwise stick to 5Mbps. Well ya, unless everyone sharing are heavy users, then only perhaps go for 20Mbps. how many MB are you using? I am the only one at home use Unifi 5mb to download movies and music... |
