with all this new prices from diff ISP, making unifi super expensive

whats there to monopoly?
time fiber can pull cable to wherever unifi built but time choose to cover only certain buildings that they find "economical."
plus unifi is also open to maxis and p1
*
Do you think can just pull cable "like that" du

I dont think TM actually has a monopoly on this. Just that other ISP are not willing to invest so much in HSBB right now.

To remove the myth that TM monopoly the HSBB business by location, my condo has both Time & Unifi both serving together in the very same building.

selikatwo : should be no problem...get a HDMI-DVI-D converter. Make your LCD Monitor can accept DVI-D connection.
then you need to connect the sound from the hypp tv STB directly to ur speakers.

Worst case scenario is to use a RCA-VGA adapter.
*
Tm has gov funding support their HSBB project

uh, p1 fiber is 99/month for 5mbps unlimited..isn't that cheaper than unifi/maxis? plus business can subscribe to it..biz5 is currently 199/month for unifi with no hypptv, no free calls.
They have been pulling cable all around klang valley..if you look at their coverage, a lot of buildings are covered by time. maxis actually has a lot of underground fiber cables around too.

any house that unifi serves, is also open to maxis and p1......

this is the problem

u simply lantak oni...

how much do you know about isps in US and Canada?
They have hunderds of isps and thousand of packages to choose from.
with and without caps. free call minutes etc etc
and generally they are cheaper than us

US and Canada are governed by FTA and consumer power is strong.
if the isp eksyen a bit, they just switch to others.

users just have to tell the new isp their MAC (Migration authorization code)
and they switch isp immediately.

not like malaysia, streamyx up grade to unifi oso
gotta wait for installation la, beratur isi form la,
bagi balik tel set la, this la pala hotak die la.

the most powerful telco in the world is TM
