As can see using wifi analyser, my tablet show "banana leaf", which i am unable to detect using my XPS, is severely overlaped by another signal "heal quick", and its on the very high channel (13), could this affect XPS ability to detect the signal? anyone able to access such high wifi channel which is also severely overlaped?

Confirmed already. My xps cannot get wifi on channel 13. This is another case where access point (oldendays) is on channel 13 and does not show in my xps but shows in the rest of my devices. Anyone xps can access wifi channel 12 and above? especially when its overlapped by other channels?

Hey guys, I just bought a new Xperia S yesterday.

Now I wanna unlock the bootloader, read the guides. Failed to install S1Boot Fastboot driver on my computer, how to reinstall it?

install PC companion, thn connect the Xperia S
4 it 2 install the proper driver

Solved.

We are proud of providing the unlock feature to the developer community. Previously, there was a large risk of bricking the phone when unlocking with third party software. Sony Mobile’s solution remove’s that risk. When we initially provided the unlock feature, it was presumed that only highly skilled developers and super-users would take advantage of it. From blogs and discussion boards, it was clear that the community understood the risks and that unlocking largely voided the warranty. It appears that less sophisticated users (despite all our warnings) might be using the feature, and are now surprised by the consequences.

Wow so unlocking the bootloader uninstalls ALL apps on the phone?!! I was considering buying this but with knowing this now, no way also warranty is void if i use the OFFICIAL unlocking tool? sony's really trying its best to "support" it's fans/developer community.
