Went sg. wang on sunday and just to see the current price now, the price quoted by one of the outlet with big Xperia signboard on 1 floor or 2nd floor quote me

xperia S

Ori = rm1688 (full accessory)
AP = rm1550 (no hdmi cable)

not much diff, might as well buy in Sony Center direct if the price is rm1699

Is this how yellow tint looks like?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiWbJCwutjM

certainly looks less serious than the xps picture (the one with 3 xperia side by side, cant read chinese, so i assume its showing yellow tint) in the link provided by ninja last time http://bbs.gfan.com/android-4055016-1-1.html

My xps have the same problem near the softkey (bottom of the screen only) but not on top of the screen.
Showed it to the dealer and he said its normal. Its due to some adhesive or something like that behind the screen.

Do you suspect you phone have yellow tint? can show how it looks like, BTW, my serial (AA) and touch version (7) match all version that most probably have problem.

some of the XPS owner claims that the yellow tint is because of the phone temperature. when it reach 40 degrees (fahrenheit or celcius??) the yellow tint will occur.

It's normal because most of the unit defect. So you need to send for warranty if this happen to your phone.

This is the yellow tint issue. You will find some yellow spot on the screen obviously especially on white background.
http://www.esato.com/news/sony-acknowledge...e-xperia-s-2300

If you are talking about the whole screen yellowish, then it's normal.

And try to read those posts in previous threads, quite a number of XPS users faced yellow tint issue and send for warranty.

Yours is Ori or AP set? If Ori, don't waste your time to argue with the dealer, Just send for warranty.

not whole screen yellow, just one spot like to youtube video, too bad my is AP

the yellow tint problem happens to me when my phone is hawt, i got used to that shit already, i think this problem occur for the 1st batch of XPS phone since Sony Ericsson's phones always got some problem for a regular amount of their 1st batch phone. want absolute no problem? try iphone lol

and im too lazy send to replace my phone even tho my phone is Ori

That's why, i try to be kind and share my bitter experience of ics upgrade but some ppl say nothing bad will happen. Of course easy for them to say until something serious happened to them.

I learned my lesson the bitter way, i would now rather wait until official OTA upgrade is available.

Npe, you can.. If the wifi is password enabled, you must key in the password first.
Go to Settings > Wireless & Network settings > Wifi settings > Choose the wifi connection (e.g. Banana Leaf TM)

Wifi password is usually displayed or just asked the shop assistant smile.gif

thanks for the reply, but the SSID (i.e. thebananaleaf) dont even show up on my list of channels, this used to happen on my pc but now it is rare and can be solve by asking the shop to reset their router.

But for my xps, reset already also the channel dont show up.

It might be their router problem, try ask mamak to restart their router  whistling.gif

yeah, i suspect so, bcos some of my friend pc cannot detect, but after restart router can, some friend's pc after restart router also cannot, just like my xps, was wondering if just my xps, or it is common to all xps, really hope there is another unit of xps around here.

try downloading this cool software,

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...YW5hbHl6ZXIiXQ..

i read in the forum that android have difficuly accessing wifi channel 12 and above, the channel that i cannot detect is from 11 to 14, but this is overlaped by another wifi signal from 9 to 13, so i guess only channel 14 availble (i just guessing)

does anyone able to access wifi channel 12 and above ?
