Starting tomorrow... my XPS going back to the box. Will be migrating to Nexus for JB. Pretty sad when Sony troll their customers with crappy updates and lousy customer service.

I think OTA update is not available in M'sia as this 'Update Centre' app never find any updates. QUOTE(blackon @ Jul 18 2012, 06:18 PM) Since I made the mistake of flashing back to GB from this FTF, I thought I might as well upgrade to official Malaysia ICS and make a real MY-6917 FTF. Now I dunno where to share back to xda. Rapidshare? Suggestions? Then after I finished, I thought I might as well try that on-screen button mod from xda. I unlocked my bootloader though, but the result is good. No more silly dots. Lost some screen area but I don't mind. I like it better now. Took only 3 steps from locked bootloader ICS. 1. Unlock bootloader 2. Fastboot flash this slightly modded stock kernel (mostly for the CWM recovery), Kernel link 3. Flashed the zipped package of the on-screen button mod, Mod link |

Hmmm. I just noticed that O2Jam Analog cant play on ICS, the loading screen doesn't run. After I flashback to GB, works fine again.
A few things that I noticed after update to ICS then flashing it back to GB. The things I list down is based on what I have encounter, it may be useless to you and you may have already read it in the changelogs, reviews & etc. But I just want to share, hope you guys dont mind =D. Pros for ICS: 1. Album arrangements 2. Pressing Volume 1 time then can pull to increase or decrease 3. Font Size (Great for my MOM, essential for her if she uses a smartphone) 4. So far encounter lesser hangs than GB Cons for ICS: 1. lesser free RAM (This one is obvious) Maybe due to lesser RAM, gameplay laggs? 2. 'Phone' loads slower in ICS. 3. After exiting from an App, the screen laggs and will slowly pop back up the widgets. 4. Some apps still not compatible with ICS. 5. The 3G somehow on ICS is quite terrible. I thought was Maxis lately slow, but it seems that 3G for GB has better response This post has been edited by rave963: Jul 22 2012, 02:03 AM |

Taking pictures at night, lots of noises are been captured as well. |
