Just ordered black XPS from Maxis. Already using white XPS from DiGi. After upgrading to ICS, performance worse than a single core phone. Everything so choppy.

With this new black model, I will upgrade to ICS and root it. Need to delete all the crap. Once stable, will transfer everything from white to black and sell it cheap.

Hmmm... I download system tuner pro and monitor cpu usage...  seem like CPU0 only active... most of time CPU1 is offline...  the lowest cpu speed is 384Mhz.... the setting for cpu is on demand... cannot change setting unless root it 1st.

Selling cheap...  hmm.gif sound nice...
30 enough for me.... 100 can blind my eyes...

That means Sony screw up... after ICS upgrade, they turn off the 2nd core! No wonder damn slow! It is as slow as 2011 Sony phones! Sometimes even slower due to 720P HD screen. I suspect they took ICS from 2011 models and dump to 2012 phones!

Now my Galaxy Tab 7+ already on ICS... damn smooth and fast... I will move all my data over to it and wipe entire XPS clean. The black XPS is clean... still need to fully charge it.

Ok... black XPS already updated to ICS... crashed once on boot. WTF!

After that stable but as expected... SLOW! Too many screen redraws. Phone app need 2 seconds to appear and memory consumption always 800MB+. This is for new virgin phone with nothing inside. DAMN!

Starting tomorrow... my XPS going back to the box. Will be migrating to Nexus for JB. Pretty sad when Sony troll their customers with crappy updates and lousy customer service.

Alright... I flashed Advanced Stock ICS Kernel Build 11 some 2 hours ago to gain root access and installed a CPU tweak. Min 1GHz and max 1.5GHz. Previously min was set at 384MHz which explains why the damn phone is so slow!

Testing battery life now... so far so good.

ICS still like crap. Don't know when Sony will fix it. For the time being, if u willing to try... unlock the boot loader and flash a custom kernel on it. From there, u can install SetCPU and set the min CPU speed from 384MHz to at least 1000MHz.

I booted up mine after retrieving it from the box. Been using the GNex for a week now. Very fast and satisfying. XPS too darn slow unless u overclock it.

Still can't stand the sluggishness of XPS vs GNex on ICS. The latter damn buttery smooth. XPS lags and redraws often.

I'm putting my XPS for sale soon.

Tomorrow I wave goodbye to my LT26i. Selling it off to my employee for cheap. It was a good phone but plaque with QC problems and ultra slow performance.
