Just that the noise cancelling / soundproofing is not that good, or maybe i expected too much.

Did anyone did some simple soundproofing to the Civic hybrid?

Why there is a lot of Civic Hybrid on sale in the market, and the resale value seems so low. Is it possible to drive when the hybrid battery spoilt?

Yes, U still can drive it like normal honda civic. Lithium battery just assist only, not main power supply. Our civic not same Prius C. Prius C is battery kong, totally cant start car, but ours still can start.

I dont think so as the car dont consist alternator.
And where do yr 12v battery going to get charging if the ima faulty.

my civic hybrid is clocking 170k km mileage this month. so far so good, just some normal service every 10k km mileage, the only major replacement which is intelligent inverter system which cost RM 11k + -, lucky can claim under warranty. beside this, nothing spoil so far,*touchwood* absorber still standing strong after 6 years of usage !

i do believe some soundproofing will affect the car performance & fuel efficiency.

You get the intelligent inverter sys replace during warranty (5 years ) or it park as under IMA battery replacement as a set?
Which IMA cover 8 yrs warranty.

Lucky guy...luckily the inverter fault between 5 yrs.
Indeed this car is comfort to drive n petrol saving.
But those parts like ima, inverter, compressor really cause a bomb when it fault eventhrough the failure rate is low.
Probably maybe because there is no 3th parties working into this type of repair

mine is a cbu unit from japan. the inverter failed 3 months after my warranty. the SA close one eye ; open one eye submit warranty claim for me. i owe him a lunch

Luckiest hch owner ever. my aircon compressor failed 11 months after warranty! we already clocked 250000km on it. darn maybe we hit max lifespan of compressor. No warranty.

I also suspected that the outside air con service guy refilled wrong coolant cos it failed less than 2 weeks after he touched it

pretty right, else im gonna fork out 11k + - for the repair.. god damn
