Just would like to share my highly satisfied Civic Hybrid repair experience at MJ Motors last Friday.

My front left door had developed irritating loud rattling noise when traveling on the road, particularly on stretches which are in bad condition. When at the traffic light, if a motobike was stop beside my Civic, my left door will be rattling again which would caused my Mom to make a passing comment that even my parents old junk car would not make such a noise!!!..

Hence, i had paid a visit to the Honda Sg Long outlet on early Friday morning to check on what was the problem. The service officer later claimed their techician had removed the door trimming panel and found out the speaker was faulty and required to be replaced.

Upon hearing this, i had doubt on this assessment findings as i noticed my car had never entered into the worskhop bay from what i had observed at the 1st Flr viewing gallery.

Subsequently, i told the service officer to completely remove the side door speaker as i can rely on the rear speakers for my daily listening but he had replied this would cause water to enter into my car during raining time.

Frustrated, i had then make my way to MJ Motors where the service officer there name Afiq had opined there is something loose inside the door and require a thorough inspection.

As i had arrive around mid morning and almost time for Friday prayers, i had to leave my Civic thare and had to call around 3pm to check on the status of the repair.

At 3.45 pm, Afiq had phoned me saying my car is now ready for collection where i had enquired what was the cause of the sound. Apparently, the speaker fastening nuts had loosened and caused the rattling noise where they have tightened it.

Upon collecting my car, the ratting sound has gone away!!!...Yippie!!!!

From now on, i will send my Civic to MJ Motors either for minor or major repairs as their intergrity & workmanship is found to be beyond reproach!!!!

Mine got sound too, went to honda service in old klang road last month, tell them longgar and ask them to stick back.
The door handle plastic peel off too. They help me to change for free.

shifus here, my hch going to hit 100k. my car will jerk & chok forward after i power on my engine, and even im running on low speed the car will have some kind of jerking feel which really annoyed me.. my previous sc was located at PJ named setia tenaga resources etc etc, and i told them to check the problem and they say is very common to a hybrid car.. need a good sc to solve my problem. thank you shifus for helping

What was the problems?

the car jerks when accelerating in low speed. and some minor issues like jerk when idler, engine stop suddenly deactivate while foot still on brake

mine is having intermittent jerk at low speed too (especially after break at bumps). went to a few sc but problem cannot be solved. will try chan sow lin in my next service. did the mechanic share with u what was the root cause? I think most Honda mechanics are not skillful enough, only know how to change engine oil!

GUYs anyone got the issue when the car is idling especially, there’s quite an intrusive vibration coming in from engine bay? When I turn off the ac the vibration is gone. Sc told me is normal hybrid engine is liddis due to the coupling and uncoupling of the electric motor to the engine. But funny when I turn off the ac no more vibrations 🤔
