QUOTE(frosty9th @ Jul 29 2013, 09:05 PM) Hi, wow! how did you achieve that mpg? it's really amazing. Do you use the "km/L" indicator, keeping it above the 25km/L range? or keep the light in the green zone? or coasting (accelerate & release accelerator pedal? thx in advance. yes, but this means i have to drive like a grandma, and coming from a 20yr old thats saying something, i very gently accelerate from stops to decent speeds, on the highway i never pass 120km/h barrier. around town i watch the economical indicator trying to keep it green at all times.. All these was too much to implement on everyday driving la, so my normal driving i would avg 15-16. BTW CHECK OUT THIS NEW LINK ON FB ON CIVIC HYBRIDS https://www.facebook.com/roguehybrids

QUOTE(SeniorCitizen @ Oct 20 2013, 10:32 PM) I am thinking of getting this Civic Hybrid. Now with 3k rebate. Can the current owner share what are the common issues with the current model? Is it worth paying 116k for this car? Thank you what are you looking for in a car? problems, -the regenerative brake isnt consistent and can get annoying after awhile. -boot is too smalll not really a problematic car la. honda is reliable. slap on a bodykit and youll have a sporty and sleek ride

QUOTE(JaysonGoh @ Oct 21 2013, 12:20 AM) Civic Hybrid and normal Civic 1.8/2.0 got different boot size? Civic Hybrid actually got smaller boot size? yea, because the battery is packed between the rear seat and the boot. quite a compromise if you are looking for a practical compact sedan

QUOTE(SeniorCitizen @ Oct 21 2013, 07:05 PM) I am looking for a reliable car for long term use of 10 years or more if condition still good. Glad to hear that Civic Hybrid is reliable and less problematic. Most like likely I will get one very soon. Join you guys later. Thanks well japanese cars are well known for their reliability, so you dont have to concern yourself about that, plus the new warranty for the hybrid battery has been extended to a further 8 year warranty. so you can breath a sigh of relief. personally, this car has saved me tons of $ on petrol, as i commute a distance of 40+40km per day, this car is most economical apparently on highways. so yea, if youre looking for a stylish fuel saving vehicle that is around 100k budget, look no further, civic hybrid is the choice

go for vossen rims! nothing beats vossen, get original ones and your performance will not be affected because they are forged and therefore extremely lightweight.

the facelift model in us for the hch does have drl that replaces the front fog lamps position with more body chrome wrapped around the car for a more luxurious feel. it is nicer than this current outgoing version. but i doubt itll come to us :/ owh and has anyone heard of qmax products/ they sell -voltage stabilizers -grounding cables all sorts of etc that imrpoves fuel economy and horspower and torque. i used them for my 2nd gen crv and i have to say, it felt much lighter and was very eager to go. plus fc has gone up significantly. but for my hch, since its a hybrid system, not sure whether or not i should temper with it.
