The best is to try and get the service history. Has it been service by Honda Service Centre?
Warranty for the hybrid battery is 8 years unlimited mileage. In addition, the car also comes with 5 years unlimited mileage.

If in doubt you could check with Honda SC to review the service history.

Yes all digital odo meter can edit go ask mr.google.. for me 1 year equal to 20k km.. so for you case that car maybe around +-60k milage..

So if there is a long gap between service than we must be cautious.

First see the last n second last servis, compare to odo meter.. from that we knows last servis done by owner or Usedcar dealer..
Seconds see any long gap servis intervals.. To long will void warranty from honda..
Lastly after satisfied with that, go to SC where the car has been servis before and ask for servis record from that car by give them registration number..

Thanks for the tips! Have gone through with the SC with the service records. Last service was done in January 2016, mileage was 25k km. But the SC person told me the previous owner skipped some service intervals (possibly due to low mileage). Warranty still valid, but will void if she had skipped a total of 3 scheduled services.

I guess the mileage is indeed true? Not quite satisfied why the owner skipped service though.

The hybrid battery is 10 years, not 8 years. You should receive a letter from Honda saying that they had extend the hybrid warranty period together will have a warranty certificate in the letter.

My warranty for battery is 8 years. My sisters Honda Civic hybrid also 8 years.
Surprised they gave 10 years.
Previously it was 5 years and they extended to 8 years.

My hybrid just change new aircon compressor last 2 months, Saturday send in to service center checking due to weird sound from engine part. Again the technician told me, compressor shaft got problem, need to claim warranty and claim 1 unit new compressor and replace. I was shock, the compressor just 2 months old. Imaging after 5 years, how much i going to pay if no warranty.

Secondly, u guy hybrid door trim got peel off issue? I just change second time at service center too, claim warranty, change 4 new door trim FOC. New door trim is smooth matt surface and no longer like previous rubber coat surface.

Third, anyone here got drive shaft plate broken issue? Mines is third time change the plate but luckily still under warranty. I ask the service adviser to feedback this problem to Japan, he reply that this is design issue, cant be improve. Many other civic owner also facing the same problem. They just can change a new plate for u.

For those who thinking to buy second hand hybrid, you better think twice.

recently changed to dunlop sp sport J5 ... mileage now dropped to ~19km/l

However... it's much quieter compared to the former.. but fuel efficiency not so good... hope it gets better after run for sometimes...

probably not timing belt... just realized civic hybrid uses timing chain...

what's the additional cost that you paid during 100,000km service? looks like more expensive (~1700rm) than the normal maint schedule. ~1400rm
