UPDATE re Scheduled Car Maintenance Services :
IMHO most go2 SCs cos due2 warranty void fears. True? As most wld agree, only the main engine & Gbox are warrany-covered for max 3 yrs.. Correct? And as most sifus wld also agree, if the engine & Gbox are well maintained (eg relevant fluids replaced @ correct intervals), then there's very slim chance of any major "disasters" in those areas after 10k Km. Ok? Now that leaves us with wat? The scheduled oil, oil filter, air filter, rad coolant, ATF...& mayb a few other minor items eg spark plugs, etc. Right? All that can be done by ourselves on a free wkend...done with luving care & attention,too !! Now wld yu not like that?  ps. Of course, we (most of us anyway) kenot change Timing Belts & such similar items ourselves.  Moreoverthat's a payable maintenance procedure as is. pps. Abv still part of my fantastic hallucination... |
